For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

DasherDancerPrancerFMVixen · 15/12/2008 17:58

oh yes OB, knew I had forgotton. Am angry and feisty and outraged on your behalf!

poinsettia99divine · 15/12/2008 18:01

OB, horrid person pretending to have "seen" the accident - you could ask them if they hvae given witness statements in accidents before....

poinsettia99divine · 15/12/2008 18:02

FMV

SuperBunny · 15/12/2008 18:06

OB for you

The flat next door is being 'fixed' which means they are using some huge drill and it sounds like they are knocking the wall down. I went next door to ask how long they'd be doing it so I could take DS out or work out how he could have a nap but when I walked in, there is no ceiling and a radiator had exploded, ripping half the wall out. So, they'll be drilling and wot not all day. I wouldn't mind if they had warned me. Grr.

Broccoli
Green beans
veg pie
banana
grapes
juice

thenewme · 15/12/2008 18:08

I know what I have to do.

SuperBunny · 15/12/2008 18:26

Hope you feel better when it is done, newme.

I WANT chocolate.

DasherDancerPrancerFMVixen · 15/12/2008 18:29

I want this week to be over...
AND chocolate. And pork pie and pickles. And cheese.

I have all these things but I am desperatly trying to resist until next weekend!

SuperBunny · 15/12/2008 18:35

FMF

AIBU to be a bit miffed that DS does not have a birthday card or present for me again. It's not that I need anything but I always make sure he gets his dad something. Today we were shopping and he picked out a little sparkly photo frame to give his dad for xmas. It was only $3 but he chose it himself and all I want to do is shove it up his fathers arse

thenewme · 15/12/2008 18:41

SB I feel better for what I have emailed but between us I think we might have just made it worse.

SuperBunny · 15/12/2008 18:45
Sad
FrayedKnot · 15/12/2008 18:48

I have no hope of reading all the posts from last nhight approx 10pm in the next two minutes, have I?

No, thought not.

Back later!

OsmosisFaLaLaLaLa · 15/12/2008 19:16

That is v frustrating SB! I would be sulking furiously.

FMV... My best friend from school has a brother who we used to torment with levellers playing at hideous volumes over and over and over and over and over

Anyhoo... He is now supporting the Levellers on tour. Cool huh? Can I try and blag rights anywhere as providing his inspiration?

No? Shame

I am not angry about the 'witness' anymore as I have written a v nasty letter to my insurers asking how they can take his statement seriously when the description he has given of my car and it's position, number of doors, side of road it was on are all wrong.

Witness the Shitness, one hope one quest.

SuperBunny · 15/12/2008 19:26

I was quite cross, OB. But they apologised and I very calmy said, "It's ok, you;ve gotta do what you've gotta do" and wandered off. It's not their fault but I am annoyed no-one warned me. Might grumble at the office mnan later.

@ levellers links

Witness shitness indeed

DasherDancerPrancerFMVixen · 15/12/2008 19:27

OB, it's not Seth is it???!!

pinkspottywellies · 15/12/2008 19:31

Gosh I've missed loads and just skimmed thru! OsBa good to see you again!! Well day3 and dd did some poos (which had been missing for a couple of days) and again about half and half potty:floor on the wees. She has a little blue purse with glass fish which TooT would like and gets a fish in her purse for each success. We've done a full load of washing every day.

And she's just gone to bed and been sick It feels a bit awful doing this whole potty training thing. I just keep trying to remind myself that it's a skill she has to learn. I have no problem encouraging and reminding her to use her spoon/fork, hold the bannister when she goes up and down the stairs, hold her cup upright so it doesn't spill so just need to be patient with this. DH is being absolutely fab - much better than me so I'm glad we're doing it when he's off.

Tonight we had our favourite Christmas time meal - crackers, bread, hummous, crudites, ham, cheese, my homemade chutney , etc etc So a few bits of veg. Apricots, kiwi, apple juice, raisins this morning and quite a veg-ful spag bol for lunch. Not too bad and now I'm having a chocolate orange

TooT your name story makes me a bit sad cause I think you would have grown into your name so well! But then perhaps you would have been very different growing up with that name - they say people's personality is shaped in oart by thier name... Anyway, I like TooT too!

Can't remember all the things I was going to comment on so I'll shut up now!

FrannyandZooey · 15/12/2008 19:34

it seems like a very me cookbook and probably a quite 10/10 cookbook

My friend has that book. She says it's very good. I laughed when I saw it as she's the worst person I know for spending money on food and dreadfully wasteful but I guess it's a start.

TooTicky · 15/12/2008 19:38

That looks interesting Franny. Let me know how vegan-friendly it is please.
Oh, and looking forward to the letter

TooTicky · 15/12/2008 19:39

Franny, I'll email it to you now....
