I am checked regularly for skin cancer as I've had a few. Some bumps aren't and was told to use Eumovate .

The one u were told to use emovate on like mine u said was that one cancer was it

You need to see your gp and ask for help for health anxiety. Once you’ve stopped focusing on this, it will be another thing, and another and you’ll spend your life worrying about health issues that aren’t there
it’s hard but it gets better

This! Eventually you will be ill (as we all are) but you will have wasted decades of your life worrying about imaginary illnesses.

No it wasn't cancer it was a similar bump to your but had got infected and I was told to use Eumovate. Why don't you try it for a couple of weeks and see if it helps?

TooHotMyIcecreamHasMelted · 23/06/2026 12:54

OP. You don’t need help for the scab, or the shoulder pain. You are actually unwell - with severe health anxiety. This is plain for all to see, very clearly. Your posts are really uncomfortable to read.

As a PP said - even if you got 200% assurance this is fine, it’ll then be something else for you to fixate on.

by the way - the cream you’ve been recommended? Take a look. Where does it even refer to cancer?

TWO doctors have said they have no concerns. Do you honestly think they would ignore it if there was anything that needed further intervention?
You need a GP appointment this week. But you need it to discuss your overwhelming health anxiety.

Mine has been there ages, mine is STILL there ,just not red and inflamed now. Skin has all sorts of lumps and bumps due to old bites, trauma etc

Not really, that's what modern medicine does.

Beya4567 · 24/06/2026 13:59

One question please guys then ill not comment on here again..if u were told by 2 GPS the spot ect was nothing to worry about would u just move on from it or would u pasue it..I saw a tiktcok where one girl has a little sore spot on her face thay wouldn't heal and kept on scabbing and it was bcc those are the things thay make me worry ...but I've gone to 2 GPS and they've dismissed me like I'm crazy and there nothing

OP posts:
PurpleLovecats · 24/06/2026 14:03

I’d accept it and forget about it.

MissMoneyFairy · 24/06/2026 14:34

I would move on but with your anxiety I don't think you'll be happy until you've a seen a dermatologist, you can pay privately about £200. No amount if reassurance will help.

Wishimaywishimight · 24/06/2026 14:40

I would be thankful that 2 medical professional deemed it nothing to worry about, cross it off my 'to do' list and go about my day/life.

I would pursue it and see a dermatologist. My GP misdiagnosed my bcc - even though I specifically told her that was my concern. She was dismissive and I consequently don’t have a great deal of confidence in GPs in this respect. Have now had it surgically removed and no further issues.

I would use some cream and monitor it. If it genuinely doesn't heal with no picking after a month or so I would go back and ask for a referral but be prepared to wait. I had an 8 month wait for one of my appts although my husband was seen and operated on extremely quickly for his. I wouldn't lose sleep over it but I would monitor it.

TooHotMyIcecreamHasMelted · 24/06/2026 17:17

I would strongly encourage posters to not reply any further to the OP, for their own wellbeing - it is currently just feeding their obviously very acute health anxiety and it isn’t healthy.

I think it's more i go in shower or get it wet then skin comes off it anf then it continues to scab over...I have a shower every other day so 🤷‍♀️
