Take a photo of it today, take another in 2 weeks time then go back to the GP and ask to be referred to the dermatologist. Anything non healing needs to be checked out.

Well she seems to think it's fine...she looked at it and went that's absolutely nothing...I said its been there and forming a scab every time and she said she's been doing this fot 25 years it's a pimple and nothing

Yes and it u continue to read it..it says when I picked it. I THEN noticed i had picked the exact same spot months ago..meaning it's just scabbing and reforming and the scab isn't going away

You’re probably scratching it when asleep. I’ve got multiple spots all over my body (I itch constantly, MH issue) and I pick at them. Some have been there for months now. Sometimes I realise I must have scratched one in the night as there will be blood on the sheets.

I really think the big issue here is your anxiety. I've had multiple health scares this year requiring investigation and have been terrified each time, but all have come back normal. It sparked some major health anxiety for me which I'm having therapy for and taking medication and it's helping. Id suggest you speak to your GP about that.

The thing on your back looks to me, and your GP, like a pimple. If it's still there in a month I'd go back - but try and leave it alone for that month.

Go back if it doesn't heal, I'm not going to go I to specifics as it'll make you more anxious but of it doesn't heal you go back and ask to be referred.

You post constantly about various ailments. You should probably have your internet access removed at this point tbh. It does you no good at all.

There’s nothing wrong with you physically. You need to focus on the actual problem which is overwhelming health anxiety.

we will see you back in a few months with something else.

That's my point it's been there for over a year as a scab....when I picked it the other day I thought to myself ive picked that before in the same place..meaning it hasn't gone away

My son had something that looked similar. Hes 11. We went to the Dr's to get ut checked - i actually wasnt worried its just that the NHS website says to get a spot that hasn't cleared up in 3 weeks checked - it was there MUCH longer. The dr looked said 'dont worry its a cyst' I was like ok fine. Went home, forgot about it. Got a call back from the doctor at 7pm that night who said actually ive re-thought and im going to refer you to dermatology just to be sure. I freaked out. But a few days later it came to a sort of head and all this gross stuff came out like toothpaste. It was a cyst. Nothing scary at all. We've had the referral come through and if its come back - which it might if its a cyst I MIGHT still take him along. Or I might cancel a week or so before. Not sure. Point is even when it looks dodgy enough for a GP to be concerned it probably isn't anything bad

Did your sons scab over aswell

You’re unable to think straight. At this point genuinely, MN should restrict your posting abiiity because you’ve been posting ailments for years

I’m sure you have got a spot. I’m sure it has come back. I’m sure it’ll probably come back again

Do I think you’re going to keel over and die?

unlikely.

I agree. You are wasting your life worrying that you are going to die OP. Please seek help for your health anxiety rather all these imaginary illnesses

Happytap · 19/06/2026 19:01

You've been seen by a GP and told it's fine. You have a safety net of going back in a month if you feel you need to. All you need to do now is relax and get on with life. Don't waste your time with your kids worrying about an imaginary illness
