oh I'm a fool, I'm on the waiting list bit thought it was too late to add a referral to be seen quicker.

if anyone has a referral please let me know, alternatively if anyone wants a referral I have three (I think I need to share them all too so wait list so would prefer to receive one!)

Yes please if you have one! x

greencrab · 22/06/2026 19:27

Have sent you a PM @ForLilacPoet

in talking with the turtle today I found out the app is partners with Voy (who I have heard of for glp1 weight management on app, they may go other things) which I thought was interesting

I do think they are running this is a somewhat beta version, when I first got my results I wanted to share one item with my GP. I couldn't find a way to get a pdf copy of them like you can on thriva etc so asked the turtle who said there was no way in the app but to email customer service. I did and was emailed the results in pdf.

I can see more that the option to get a pdf list of now available directly running the app.

I have been pushing my turtle coach a bit and and am finding it now useful now, I get tailored goals as I explained I was already doing things like eating wholegrain, so I get goals including specific exercises my PT told me to do for an injury and it recommended supplements at my request

needastrongone · 25/06/2026 10:58

Thanks @greencrab re pushing the turtle coach, I’ve hardly used the function - had a busy couple of weeks - but I might need to do that, my results were good and I do ‘all the things’ (other than I’m not great at just being still/mindful and it’s helping with this), to really get the use from ‘her’.

I’m keen to do this - does anyone have a referral code I can use, as I’ve been on the waitlist for a while…

Thank you @vitevin. Does anyone know whether the first test with Do Health includes testosterone and SHBG?

I have to have that annually to get my HRT, so I can only really go with these tests instead of Thriva if it includes those.

It looks really good so fingers crossed…

vitevin · 29/06/2026 22:26

@SeriouslyGotTheTshirt I just checked and yes it does cover both

@vitevin thanks used your link and going this week for the blood tests. Though that’s such a farce to pretend it’s exclusive, isn’t it?

PnPsmum · 30/06/2026 21:19

I’m keen to do this as well if anyone has a referral code to share?

WhatILoved · 04/07/2026 10:15

I’m torn - what markers do 2nd and 3rd blood tests do?

ElliePhant28 · 04/07/2026 10:21

@WhatILoved.

At the 4-month mark, we test the 11 core biomarkers used to calculate your biological age. These are the ones most responsive to lifestyle changes:
Energy: HbA1c, Fasting Insulin, ALT, AST, and Vitamin D
❤️ Circulation: ApoB, HDL, and Triglycerides
🌱 Inflammation: hs-CRP, Homocysteine, and Uric Acid
Other markers, like your thyroid, hormones, and kidney health, are only tested at the start

WhatILoved · 04/07/2026 13:45

thanks

I had my appointment yesterday and the results came through today, which was much quicker than expected.

I'm pretty impressed. Most of my results are in the 'optimum' or 'good' range which is really reassuring (including cholesterol, which was flagged as being a concern in a recent NHS test and which I've been taking steps to address.) There are a few things that are poor: low total protein and Globulin in the liver (which isn't surprising as I'm vegetarian, but good to know and easy enough to address) and some of the blood ones, which have been a recurring theme in GP-ordered blood tests for the last couple of years. Getting the GP to monitor and re-test has been a constant battle and I've paid for Thriva tests which have differed wildly in their readings from the NHS, which just adds to the confusion. I'm really glad to have this test as a baseline, and the knowledge that I can have another test in the same place, using the same metrics, in 4 and 8 months, is really helpful.

The other helpful thing is getting a good snapshot of my hormone situation. I'm 56 and still stubbornly in a loooooong perimenopause, but I can see from this that things are fairly well balanced and my oestrogen level is still pretty good. I'm glad I can now see if this changes over the next year. I really like the efficiency of the chat function which gives instant access to tailored information and answers to exactly the kind of questions I've always wanted to ask my GP after a blood test but never get the chance in a rushed 5 minute phone call. (My turtle is also a bit too extra-friendly, but I'm hoping that calms down when I don't respond to all its extra prompts.)

All in all it's a thumbs-up from me, and I'm going to try to persuade DH to join too. I think it's well worth the money. (Thank you again for the referral @greencrab !)

ElliePhant28 · 08/07/2026 18:02

I’ve been really impressed so far too. Got my results in a day. @HumbleWarrior just to point out that only 11 markers are tested at the 4 and 8 month mark. Also your tips for the week changes on a Monday. I wasn’t aware of that so didn’t complete my tasks on the first week. The more you interact with Joy, the more she personalises your tasks. I like that. So it’s worth asking questions and telling her stuff about yourself.

greencrab · 08/07/2026 19:31

They seem to have changed the referrals thing and the waiting list is ending? I now get £15 if anyone was to use a referral code from me and so do they (I assume off price for them and discount for next year for me rather than cash but it wasn't clear). I wonder if this fits with the results being an available more quickly for @HumbleWarrior I don't think anyone else had next day before

I have also started setting more than three goals each week, when it says pick there I actually pick 5 add there are some things I'm consistently working on like eating walnuts

CalmConfident · 08/07/2026 21:29

Got my blood test tomorrow !

ElliePhant28 · 08/07/2026 21:44

Mine were also next day so maybe the initial flurry has worn off. I didn’t realise you could set more than 3 tasks. I was wondering about that because you’re not going to develop a habit after a week. Helpful to know.
