Looking for a circumcision doctor

Jaqchic · 20/01/2005 13:13

Can anyone recommend a private doctor in the London area who has performed a (male) circumsion for them? I don't want to get into a debate about the whys and wherefores of circumcision, but I am trying to find a reliable and reputable doctor with experience in this area. I don't care if they are a mohel or muslim practioner or non religious but I am looking for a doctor who will perform this in a proper surgical setting, not someone to come and do it in my home.

Thanks.

yeah, you're right lockets.
I am the kind of person who just gets something in their head and then i just have to say it... even though half the time I know it's gonna blow up in my face.
You don't know how hard it was for me to stay away from that other thread!
I get far too emotionally attached to online debates and things. Have been in tears in the past over the most stupid things... i think i take things too personally.

(have i hijacked this thread now?)

hmmm, well I shall look forward to post-preg brain in the knowledge that I can be completely retarded and blame it on that!

i agree secur. I was a mother's help for the lady I mentioned before with the 6 kids.
certainly after 4 there wasn't really much difference.
i tried to get her to have more but she wasn't really up for it.

well, we just bribe them with sweets and videos until the world has been taken over.
then it doesn't matter!

friend of mine (Jewish) had her newborn ' done ' at 6 weeks. Other friends of ours ( he's Jewish, she isn't) refused to do their son and have incurred the wrath of all his family, and of course they blame her. Personally I do feel it is mutilation and should be banned unless for specific medical reasons.
