For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

right, I am snappy and cross and annoyed with everyone, I am going to sit in the art gallery down the road and rock on their little chair they have upstairs. They have tea downstairs too, though I don't suppose they'll let me take it upstairs, not with a mad glint and a stiff gait.

Maybe I will find some cake too.

FrannyandZooey · 20/05/2008 16:56

yes i have had cake at cafe
and big hummus and roasted vegetables ciabatta and quite a good varied side salad with proper leaves in, not crappy iceberg

readybrek and indeed any grain cooked with milk or in fact warm milk in any guise reminds me of rice pudding
which I was forced to eat by Evil Dinner Lady aged 5
she made me cry and ruined porridge for me for fucking ever
evil witch

I hope you feel less snappy
what if someone else is in the little rocker?

so that is dd2 and ds on the same day

bizarre kids i have i think they are joined at the hip

MrsCarrot · 20/05/2008 17:55

That is bizarre, Zippi!

Franny - your lunch sounds bloody lovely. I am having veg moussaka for dinner with lots of salad and then chocolate and blueberry brownie.
None of this is made by me I might add.

No-one else was in the rocker and I didn't rock for long. I just browsed and bought some cards as usual then slinked back home. I have been nice to everyone but I have only been home ten mins.

Off to watch Great Britsh menu - there is a very 10/10 chef on there, everything is healthy, no cream, wheat, or sugar and there are petals on everything and he keeps winning. He is very pleased with himself though, so I might not vote for him.

FrannyandZooey · 20/05/2008 17:58

we are having home made pizza with tomato sauce and all that on, plus asparagus, pointy cabbage and sweetcorn

OP posts:
MrsCarrot · 20/05/2008 17:59

FrannyandZooey · 20/05/2008 17:59

OP posts:
MrsCarrot · 20/05/2008 17:59

I can eat a whole pointy cabbage raw but I try to refrain.
