We eat fruit. It is nice. 10 / 10 thread

For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

eh? what's with the thread title? This is not what we have come to expect from the 10/10 peopole.

We want an amusing and intelligent thread title or you're going to have to be "hidden"

Tatterdemalion · 20/05/2008 15:13

I love this one squonk. It is the first one in AGES that I have not hidden. I think it is v witty, but its wit comes because of its highly cerebral and culturally laden predecessors.

Boco · 20/05/2008 15:14

We cracked under the pressure Squonk, we couldn't handle it, we had month upon month of glowing, sparkling puns, people crashing in to praise us... and then one day...

nothing.

Boco · 20/05/2008 15:15

Tatters! Are you saying you actually hid all our other ones?

Tatterdemalion · 20/05/2008 15:16

nonononBoco , this is your crowning pinacle.

or is it a pinnacle

whatever

it made me properly LOL rather than a wry smile and a "oh those pun-ish vegetable eaters" thought.

MrsCarrot · 20/05/2008 15:17

I would have hidden them if I wasn't one, I think, who wants to look at bad vegger puns all day if you're not flushed with the blush of ripe mango

Tatterdemalion · 20/05/2008 15:17

Boco, yup, I hide all the private members clubs as they make me feel a little norma no mate clanless (after the poor showing of the MNWI LDC autumn event).

MrsCarrot · 20/05/2008 15:17

or something

Boco · 20/05/2008 15:22

But this is not a private members club. This is egalitarian free for all fruitfulness.

(Well except Franny is in charge and thoroughly vets all potential members, and there's the extreme vegetable literacy exams to pass, and then the ceremony to get through etc.)

OsmosisBanana · 20/05/2008 15:25

Where are you going Zip?
What festival in Cheltenham?

OsmosisBanana · 20/05/2008 15:26

To say nothing of the hazing Boco.

Tatterdemalion · 20/05/2008 15:27

yes....the initation ceremony has been troubling me since my rash decision to 'join' last night.

Have had 5 portions today already in a feeble attempt to ingratiate myself with the members opened armed 10ers.

zippitippitoes · 20/05/2008 15:29

this is the festival in cheltenham i am thinking of going for 75 quid as a student

but i am undecided

here

i am still thinking about latitude too but it falls when we might be thinking of going to portugal for a few days

OsmosisBanana · 20/05/2008 15:29

Don't worry Tatters, wine / cider count doncha know??

A little known 10/10 fact.

In fact so little known, I think I am the only one who does know

Blither blither blither.

fryalot · 20/05/2008 15:31

well, yeah, it was witty when you take into account the previous ones.

But I have come to expect a certain je ne sais quoi from the 10/10 crowd.

FrannyandZooey · 20/05/2008 15:31

FrayedKnot · 20/05/2008 16:13

Hello once more

The interweb wasn;t broken, it was Virgin not bothering to tell their staff that they had a service outage in my area.

Anyway, have got used to thread title.

The West is a little way for me to travel but I never say never

Avi, good news about the pre-school.

JeremyVile · 20/05/2008 16:19

Just popping in to register my disappointment at the title.
You haven't even tried.
We know you're capable of more.
But it's not us you've let down... it's youselves....

FrannyandZooey · 20/05/2008 16:23

another one failed to see the post modern ironic genius of our current title
may I refer you to Tatters, JV?

FrannyandZooey · 20/05/2008 16:25

oh and I don't like readybrek
and everyone at meet up was indeed exceptionally glowy
I think it was perhaps the lighting, that the rather nice young man (remember him MrsC? ) shinned up and fixed for us

OP posts:
MrsCarrot · 20/05/2008 16:30

He agreed with me about the hard buns

MrsCarrot · 20/05/2008 16:31
