For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

TooT broken down cars can happen to anyone. It doesn't make you a charity case! And no-one minds pulling together to help when it's a poorly child. Hope all goes well.

I was meant to having a lie in today but DH drank too much wine last night so I'm up. Grrr. To be fair he did get up when dd first woke up for an hour but then he went back to bed.

I've had white toast this morning and that's it. In my defence it was with soya margarine and sugar free jam

pinkspottywellies · 26/05/2008 09:06

Franny I hope dp feels better and you can get out and buy lovely things.

berolina · 26/05/2008 09:18

he is asleep. phew. such a (evolutionarily) sensible boy to always need me Right There, but so tiring sometimes. I don't feel normal if I'm sitting/standing wherever - even without him in my arms - and not rocking.

kiwi, apple, banana. And mango yogurt.

FrannyandZooey · 26/05/2008 10:34

well dp has slept for 2 hours and says he feels better
we have also established that chocolate mousse he ate last night was 4 days out of date

we are all drinking peppermint tea and planning cautious showers and possibly still going out in a bit, possible hurrah

banana, pear, melon, grapes, raisins

FrannyandZooey · 26/05/2008 16:35

we have been

it's not so much fun talking crap on here when there is no-one listening, is it?

TITLES WE NEED TITLES
If no-one ever comes to talk to me I shall make up a dreadful one that only I think is funny

OP posts:
FrayedKnot · 26/05/2008 17:38

Well I gave you titles last week

If you need a reminder, they were Riders on the Corn or I love Rocket and Roll.

It's a sh*tty day here weather wise. We went into town this afternoon and I forgot that the Health Food shop doesn;t open on Sundays and therefore neither on BH Monday, so hardly got anything I needed.

What did you get from the Baby shop, Franny? Why are you deflated? Can't really imagine you deflated right now. Your last pic was most inflated.

I cna;t post random fruit because I haven;t eaten any

Salad, Pickled Onions, Marinated Peppers

FrannyandZooey · 26/05/2008 17:41

oh yes you did didn't you
I honestly had forgotten
votes then please

erm it was nasty and full of plastic (no shit sherlock ) and didn't have half the stuff I needed (they had 3 changing bags in the entire enormous shop and they were all over £50) and we spent a fortune on fuck knows what, organic cotton wool or something, and dp isn't too chuffed tbh

FrannyandZooey · 26/05/2008 17:43

I did buy fruit and ice cream and 3 colours of fruit juice to make traffic light ice lollies though
and ONE cute outfit for dc2 (we still have all ds's clothes so will not be buying anything else [sensible])

I hope TooT is ok and checks in soon

OP posts:
MrsCarrot · 26/05/2008 18:12

I like riders on the corn and the lime one

Franny - you have to buy too much organic cotton wool, it will always come in useful. Have you kept most of your stuff from ds, slings and things?

I think I still have some felting wool around here, whatever can I do with that.

FrannyandZooey · 26/05/2008 18:14

OP posts:
MrsCarrot · 26/05/2008 18:32

Calm down

This happened to me.

You can boil wash all the things that will wash and everything else can be replaced. I am sure that between just 10/10 ers we have leftover baby equipment. It will be fine.

You feel sick. I did. Mice are scabby, but it will be ok.

MrsCarrot · 26/05/2008 18:39

That sounds like I don't think it's a big deal

I do

I cried and cried when I saw mouse poo on my pram but I am trying to reassure you that you will be able to wash stuff and get some new baby things!

FrayedKnot · 26/05/2008 18:47

OK Franny, breath.

Now, what can be salvaged (washed down with disinfectant?).

What did you have? Give us an inventory.

I still have one or two bits and bobs.

ok very sorry for huge sweary drama
unfortunately I was posting on here as ds was shouting down what was happening so you got my full stream of consciousness
and as usual I assumed the worst total disaster, sorry
mrs C is right some of it can be boiled and other stuff disinfected maybe? god knows anyway it is NOT all going to be chucked out is it
is it?

ds's little moses basket that I loved is ruined though
I am ruddy sad about that
me and ds have been crying together and we feel better and we have said "the baby does not want all this stuff it just wants us"

but arse and dammit these frigging MICE
oh well
thank you all
and sorry again i do go off at the ruddy deep end don't I

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 26/05/2008 19:28

poor dp has not covered himself with glory
while ds was having hysterics and me not much better he was stomping about in the loft
I calmed ds down then ds calmed me down! he is v good for 5, I have said before I do worry that I might lean on him emotionally as he is so able at it sometimes (and poor dp NOT)
anyway dp has brought huge amounts of stuff down and moved it all around various parts of the house
am I not right in thinking that mice urinate constantly and carry diseases? (or is that just rats? god I wish it was just rats)
so now I am thinking we have to disinfect the entire freaking HOUSE where he has moved all the stuff oh GODDDD
I know he didn't do it on purpose but it makes me so MAD he doesn't THINK and he leaves things till the LAST MINUTE aaaaaaaaargh

right I need to find out IF all this stuff is contaminated and HOW one can disinfect it
then I need to cry a bit more over the moses basket
then that will be it
