For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Boco · 24/05/2008 11:41

Hello
Avi sorry you're so ill, must be awful - how terrible that you have to pay to see a GP!

MrsC that man was a tosser and his comment just stupid, people must have thought he was an embarrassing nobber when he said it. Think no more about it.

Have just had my hair cut - shorter than ever for me - above shoulders, but layered a bit so it's big and wavy. I like it, I am all light and springy. Have been feeling really shit for ages but today I feel better.

oh sorry avi
well I think YES you would like it
I think it would bring sunshine into your life

Boco your hair is BIGGER now? [impressed]
I have noticed lots of people who have nice looking long hair look a lot younger and lighter when they have it cut
I don't want to get mine cut yet though (know full well I will be too old to grow it long again)

Hello

hasven;t read everything because you have all been most prolific this morning while I have been making the beetroot dip thing

I found some pomegranate molasses in Sainsbo's...I think I am in love with it

Off to some organic gardens later, will post recipe tonight as it is divine.

You have been prolific this morning. Avi and on your behalf MrsC - that was a most tosserish remark.

I am a little confused at talk of islands, helicopters and pirate ships.

Boco, your hair sounds lovely. I need one of those really, but cannot psychologically get to the point of Losing My Long Curls.

Thank you everyone for your kindness. There really is nothing anyone except we two can do, and fortunately we are communicating well, albeit painfully. Venting is not appropriate either as we are definitely both at fault. I have really not been a good wife (whatever one of those is). We have talked yet again this morning and I think we are the better for it. Afterwards he made me sit down and look through the property-to-rent sites for houses with gardens and we even found one which is in our area and might just be in our budget (but is probably Entirely Unsuitable for other reasons, but I think we are going to look at it ). We are going to the botanic garden this afternoon to give ds1 his first go on his birthday LikeaBike.
