For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I think it is a joke along the same lines as accusing a man of being impotent
i.e. nasty
but in your case utterly irrelevant

Avi - hope you feel better soon

FMV - lol at shitty stick

FrannyandZooey · 24/05/2008 10:05

I am sitting here eating buttery toast while dp and ds do flat pack things
I keep feeling guilty but then remembering I am MEANT to be sitting down, huzzah

I hadn't thought if it as female impotence - I should have proudly announced that I still work thank you very much.

MrsCarrot · 24/05/2008 10:06

I love that word huzzah

MrsCarrot · 24/05/2008 10:07

ds2 has stopped pulling at my top for milk and has started pointing and saying 'that'

FrannyandZooey · 24/05/2008 10:09

yes indeed
anything to do with sexual / reproductional parts is always a bit wobbly though isn't it?
(TMI) when ds was born I had a quite a few problems afterwards and I know damn well dp still doesn't really get why it is / was so upsetting
I would like to see men just getting on cheerfully with life if their penises got hacked about and ended up looking nothing like what they started with

FrannyandZooey · 24/05/2008 10:09

LOL at "that"
and huzzah for it

Are we invited?

I imagine us all flying out in Aunty Mabel style planes with pictures of fruit and veg on the side.

FrannyandZooey · 24/05/2008 10:48

oh god yes you must celebrate big birthdays
avi I may need drugs before I can get on one of those little planes
can't you have it somewhere civilised else?

We could parachute in, with different coloured parachutes ordered to match our auras. BBee will be in charge.

Mrs C. The guy was a prick, end of. He said something stupid, and vaguely lascivious really. He's an embarrassment to himself.

Poor Avi. It sounds dreadful. I think you should pay the £100 and see someone.

We are pottering today, which is nice. FMF - take the 2 y-o to the allotment? They'll love it won' they? Then tidy up when friend arrives?

TooTicky · 24/05/2008 10:50

I have slept!!!!!!!!
No sick, no sore bum!

Apple, banana, nectarine, peach, orange, prunes. Not all whole portions though.
My god, sleep is good, isn't it?

Right, will read thread now.

S1ur · 24/05/2008 10:51

Thank you Avi for planting advice will get on it.

Just scoffed toms on toast and am heading out to flower market (hopefully)

still a bit hmm and utterly confused about the T D W P situation. Its bugging me a little. I want hundred to explain her hmmms to me.
Ah well, the plot gets thicker and thicker and more convoluted than an episode of lost. which I am a bit. lost.

Anyhoo. Off to smell flowers and grab easy fruit on way.

ahundredtimes · 24/05/2008 10:52

Hmmmm.

S1ur · 24/05/2008 10:52

S1ur · 24/05/2008 10:52

S1ur · 24/05/2008 10:53

TooTicky · 24/05/2008 11:05

MrsC, he is a tosser. for you

Avi, can I give you the number for my homeopath? He will cost you less than the doctor, plus you would be getting real, proper treatment from a very wise person who really cares. He does no-obligation chats

FrannyandZooey · 24/05/2008 11:06

Ben Goldacre on homeopathy in the Guardian this morning
he's not keen, to put it bluntly
thing is every bugger I know says it has worked for them

TooTicky · 24/05/2008 11:10

I know Avi it was the picture that did for me!

TooT I think it was partly about marketing practices that he was bothered

Avi would one of those nice pirate ships cheer you up?

[bows to Avi, steals her purse whilst doing so and distributes funds to the world's poor]
