For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Thank you Franny I am hoping dp will cheer me up later

Boco I hated learning to drive, I used to get the wobbly ankles after every lesson, but was positively elated when I passed, it will all be worth it!

TooTicky · 21/05/2008 18:34

It's not the paint giving you a headache is it Tatties?

UnderRated · 21/05/2008 18:40

My DS is having another one of those shouty stroppy days, which means I am shouty too

I called my Dr today to see if I could get an appointment and the first one was July 21st. I asked if they had something sooner and they said, "Why, is something wrong?" Er, no, I just thought I'd pop in and say hi because I have nothing better to do

How exciting Stuffit - hope you are doing lots of lovely things and enjoying it. A Mango tree will be fab. I bet they won't be cunting.

I haven't been on many other trheads recently. I just come on here and my expat one. I have missed all the excitement.

FrayedKnot · 21/05/2008 19:38

berolina · 21/05/2008 19:55

popping in to wave and say that I have not flounced. My marriage has blown up. It is still standing but we are going to have a lot of cleaning and repainting and tidying and salvaging of furniture to do. No third parties involved. It has just come to a storm that has tbh been a long time brewing.

F&V last thing on my mind atm.

MrsCarrot · 21/05/2008 19:58

Sorry to hear that, bero, hope it clears and works out for the best.

Fullmoonfiend · 21/05/2008 19:59

oh Bero, so sorry to hear this. Wishing you strength and patience x

pinkspottywellies · 21/05/2008 20:14

Bero, sorry to hear that Hope you and dh sort things out.

pinkspottywellies · 21/05/2008 20:34

Sorry to hear about all the secondary school angst I, like Slur, have little school to worry about first.

I had an awful moment the other day at our singing group at the library. DD went up (along with 4 other children) to get a laminated currant bun for the 5 currant buns song and the lady giving them out ignored her and gave the 4 others one and waited for another child I felt so sad for her I think it was because she was the smallest of the one's who had gone up and the other one's her age were just wandering about but I'd sent her up and she was ignored and it was horrible How do you cope when they're bigger and it's real, important stuff? [angsty angst]

We had some lettuce from the garden with dinner tonight [green fingers] Also today: stewed plums, pear, lettuce, cuc, tomato, peppers, mushrooms, onion, tomato, mango. Phew. 10 varieties but yet again not 10 portions.

Fullmoonfiend · 21/05/2008 20:35

blardy hell on lettuce front! How???

I have rocket which is almost ready

FrayedKnot · 21/05/2008 20:50

Oh Bero Hope you can work things out.

FrannyandZooey · 21/05/2008 20:51

FK I think you've turned on your numerical keypad by accident
try pressing numberlock button, that might do it (top row of keys?)

FrannyandZooey · 21/05/2008 20:51

oh you look alright now FK

FrannyandZooey · 21/05/2008 20:53

Bero sorry I was working through the thread there

I don't really know what to say
what a difficult time for you
I am hoping that LONG TERM this could be a good thing, as you say that things have not been right for a long time
having a huge blow up and afterwards working hard to make things right can be very positive for your relationship
I hope it works out this way for you

pinkspottywellies · 21/05/2008 20:54

Probably wasn't ready FMF!! It's the keep coming kind and there were a few leaves so I thought I'd start

FrannyandZooey · 21/05/2008 20:56

Pink awwwww for dd
I think it is especially hurtful when they are so tiny and trusting, in a way
I have KNITTED currant buns for when we do the song, if we manage another meet up I shall bring them for dd

UR am stunned at "why, is something wrong?"

FrannyandZooey · 21/05/2008 20:56

micro greens pink

v good for you

S1ur · 21/05/2008 21:01

Sorry to hear that Bero, good vibes to you

PInky what a wonderful bountiful garden you have ah no wait was it just the lettace that came from there? Well, still, woohoo for you. Our lettace is looking rather dismal and needy.

Fran - glad the day went well and is now done.

and wow aren't there a lot of vegged up folk here. I totalled probably 7 - which is poor. must try harder. I am making milkshakes tomorrow though so that might up things a bit.

FrayedKnot · 21/05/2008 21:05

Yes, itwas number lock thank you.

Poor DD, pink It is awful when you see them being somehow ignored or not treated fairly but don;t want to say anything and appear to be pushing your child forward

Sorry for all those headachey people. I am sure to be due another one soon, it;s been at least two weeks

UR that is rather outrageous, isn;t it

Do you have the equivalent of Family Planning Clinics, at all?

Or can you go to the Emergency Room? (I have on;y some kind of Channel 4 American Hospital Soap kind of vision of what an Emergency Room might be like).

Poor DS fell off a climbing frame today and did an emergency crash landing. He is fine but I fear will be very bruised.

He is getting very daring and reckless, I fear this is the tip of the iceberg

MrsCarrot · 21/05/2008 21:11

Pink - in that case, you go up and say, sorry to be a pain, but dd thought she was getting a bun and she didn't and now she's upset. Can she have a turn quickly. Ooh you are kind.

FrannyandZooey · 21/05/2008 21:34

TooTicky · 21/05/2008 21:35

UR that is shocking. And ridiculous. Good luck.

Pink, poor dd. However, it is possible that you are suffering more than she did - yes she was perturbed at the time, but she's probably forgotten it now. It is awful though, isn't it

Bero, best of luck, hope everything works itself out. I never have rows because I am a coward. Good for you

FrannyandZooey · 21/05/2008 21:37

My friend was on Casualty (the tv prog) this week! It's on the iPlayer and I have just been watching it. It is very strange watching her, and a bit upsetting as her character is very disturbed and I keep thinking "oh no X is really upset, look"
she's the one at 2 mins 21 who comes in asking to be sectioned

Hello FK

Hello Slur

Hello Fmf

I am going to bed with my head and my rather loud children.

TooTicky · 21/05/2008 21:38

I used to see Casualty being filmed quite a lot.
