Me again, been in a bit of a panic today worrying about the radiation part of my treatment. Does anyone know if radiation just targets the tumour or does it target the lymph nodes if you have involvement? I'm not signing the consent forms for this till next week and I'm just worrying how they treat the lymph nodes that flared up on my pet scan as I swear someone said radiation just kills the main tumour.

MothralovesGojira · 23/05/2024 15:35

@lucysmam
If there's info on there that's personal to you and they don't have then yes, absolutely redact partially from their copy (like half the email address). Hopefully Eve's Trust know their GDPR and wouldn't speak to your employer without permission anyway? Surely a copy of documents is sufficient proof because I'd be starting to feel bullied, undermined, discriminated, stressed and harassed if more was requested.

@Nomorebear @Zoopet hope you both heal well and your results are what you hope for xx

@Enigma52 How are you doing?

I'm still waiting for my blood test results as a doctor at the surgery hasn't looked at them yet. The stool tests have come back as normal so no blood and no nasty infections. I guess I will have to wait until next week to see the GP now as I now have to do yet another econsult to request an appointment which will the 5th one this week for either me or DC.
I'm not happy with the surgery as it is. I've had to fight via econsult to get DC's pen needles changed back to good quality ones as they changed them last month to 'better' (aka cheaper) ones which appear to have a 15% failure rate (not sharp enough to pierce skin) and have caused tiny cuts because of skin drag when the needle's withdrawn from the skin after injecting - yes, that is as horrible as it sounds.

The surgery (via econsult again) have also finally admitted that they have lost DC's autism referral request that was handed in to them in Oct 2022!!!
I'm so fucking angry. I chased it twice last year and was told that it was in hand and to show some patience. I have done another econsult to chase my ASD/ADHD referral request too which was submitted by hand (again) a year ago as I've also heard nothing. I'm probably going to be dead before I get my assessment which I probably won't get because I suspect that they've 'lost' mine too. Utter, utter wankers....and they expect me to trust them to look after me???

I'm actually feeling a bit less tired but that maybe because I'm off work but the groin pain has gone (as quickly as it arrived!?) but my ribs and stomach still hurt and I haven't lost the bloated football. So, who knows what's going on? Still thinking about whether to return to work next week or not but will probably leave it until the week after I think.

lucysmam · 23/05/2024 15:43

Thanks @MothralovesGojira it just seems like a lot of info to just hand over to essentially a stranger to then file away about me.

I am rather stressed about it all & feeling quite...I don't know. Like they're accusing me of lying about what I'm doing...sure there's a word for it but fuck knows what it is right now 🙄.

I haven't heard back from the union rep either yet...but HR lady was back in school yesterday!

What the actual fuck is wrong with people that they can just lose something important like that. I'd be fuming! I fume about lots of things & this would have me properly stomping!

Zoopet · 23/05/2024 15:49

Thank you guys.
I've been discharged now and home with a cup of tea and 1/2 a Mars bar!
Hope everyone's news is good news. Xx

HellonHeels · 23/05/2024 15:58

@lucysmam I cannot believe your employers are STILL being such utter cunts. I'm wondering if they are overstepping into harrassment and bullying. It's all so mean spirited..

@MothralovesGojira Gobsmacked at the incompetemce of your GP surgery. That is appalling treatment. Have you got the energy to complain?

On subject of wonky boobs, mine have always been wonky. with one bigger and saggier than the other. I was raging when I discovered my tumour was in the smaller breast 🤬 My surgeon did a "symmetrising" surgery on the massive one to even them both out a bit, but the bigger one is still bigger. Am annoyed at my breasts for being cancerous, wonky and uncooperative.

@Zoopet after my longer surgery I was desperate for a coffee and the ward team gave me a lot of coffee and cake. Best coffee ever. Hope they're being good to you and youve got all your beverages of choice. Wishing you and @Nomorebear both a good recovery. Remember to rest up.

lucysmam · 23/05/2024 16:02

@HellonHeels it feels very much like it's been planned so I go "ok, I won't go to Eras/dd's open day with her". I'm not fucking begging. If they're dicks with the rep too then I'll go on the sick with "stress". & if they ask the cause in one of their "welfare" calls (i.e. dig for more info than folks want to share calls), I'll make sure they know it's them.

@catmomof3 not sure if this helps but I had a lumpectomy and 2 lymph nodes removed. 1 had cancer in it, the other was clear. I then had radiotherapy to my breast, collar bone and axilla.

Shityshitybangbang · 23/05/2024 17:08

I’m currently being treated for a mass In my medistium area. Had a scan in Halloween last year, never got results till 20th December. Had some respiratory tests, all ok. The surgeon said I have two options. Do nothing, with regular scans or remove. I chose watch and wait as I am already recovering from colon cancer. Just giving me a bit more time to recover from my chemo. This is not related with colon cancer.
The past scan showed no change, but mentally I’m not coping. So a few weeks ago phoned my key nurse and asked for her to email the surgeon to give the go ahead with my operation.
she asked if I wanted to discuss it with the surgeon again. I said no. But today I received a letter to visit the surgeon on the 6th June. I have my three month ct scan this Monday.
I just thought I’d be invited for my pre op then operation.
Im just panicking as hospitals make me panic.

Shityshitybangbang · 23/05/2024 17:08

They think it’s a thymic cancer that’s been there for years

Whatevershallidowithmylife · 23/05/2024 20:25

Hi thanks to everyone who replied- oncology appointment tomorrow 🤞🏻

lucysmam · 23/05/2024 20:36

Omfg I'm sat here sobbing away like an absolute fucking dick after a rant at every fucker going (best mate via text included). I'm not a fucking liar. I am fucking stressed. And I do not get paid enough for this fucking shit fucking show.

lucysmam · 23/05/2024 20:38

(I'm not a crier btw...I'm a blast music as loud as I can scream over-er. Crying & no lusic [yes, lusic] is a new fucking low)

Enigma52 · 23/05/2024 20:41

Oh @lucysmam huge hug ( wine and chocolate??) You do get paid for this shit, you are right. You are NOT a liar! Has SOD (( School of Dickery) suggested you are??! WTAF!!!!! 😱😡

Best get our ( cancer group mum) CGM ( @MothralovesGojira ) on the case! She's fuck it in a bucket key right now, no messing!!

Enigma52 · 23/05/2024 20:44

@Whatevershallidowithmylife Good luck! What's this appointment for? Sorry, losing track of what's happening with everyone at the moment!

lucysmam · 23/05/2024 21:16

@Enigma52 I'm out of wine 😥 went for southern comfort & lemonade instead.

SOD haven't said anything more yet - but dd's booking for Manchester Met is solely in her name & you know when you just know it'll cause problems 🙄

I give up 🤷‍♀️ I quit. I am done.

I'm not really. But fucking hell!

Which dick turned the water works on? I need to maintain my "don't fuck with me" face ffs & that will not work with puffy fucking eyes.

(I need some new swears. Fuck & dick are boring me immensely!)

MothralovesGojira · 23/05/2024 21:28

@lucysmam @Enigma52
CGM here! Gosh what have I missed?
Oh lucysmam, have you been told that you can't go or is it that it's all that it's all too much?

MothralovesGojira · 23/05/2024 21:33

@lucysmam
Oh that's a relief. I thought that we would have to go and burn down Head of SOD's shed or somewhat!

Enigma52 · 23/05/2024 21:40

They are total Jackass, assbutts at SOD!

Get your DGAF ( don't give a fuck ) face back on, switch the water works off and down your southern comfort! We have your back @lucysmam.

Arses!

MothralovesGojira · 23/05/2024 21:45

Twatbadgery! That's a good one. What you need to do @lucysmam is comfort yourself with acts of petty revenge while sipping your Southern Comfort. Prawns in a lever arch file in their office, dog shit under their car door handle, free samples of Anusol or my favourite leaving a butt plug casually on display on a shelf in their office.

Enigma52 · 23/05/2024 21:50

🤣🤣🤣 butt plug!!! Excellent CGM!!

All Senior arses, MUST wear a "'I'm a twatbadger" on their lanyard!

MothralovesGojira · 23/05/2024 22:04

Last month DP and I were on our way into Sainsbury's cafe when this man wizzed past us with his trolley and cut us up to claim the last trolley bay. He then raced us down the cafe so that he could get his order in first. I went off to sit down and noticed that his trolley had packets of bread rolls in it. So I punched and squashed his rolls while no one was looking then sat down so I could watch. I was just so peed off at this cockwomble's rudeness that I wanted to watch his reaction and enjoy my act of petty revenge. The thing was that when he got up to leave he took a completely different trolley that had bags in it! So fuck knows what he was up to but DP's convinced that I duffed up someone else's bread rolls Hmm

HellonHeels · 23/05/2024 23:33

@MothralovesGojira this has just made me laugh madly 🤣🤣🤣

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😆😆😆 bloody hilarious!!! I

@lucysmam a new word: cockwomble!

MothralovesGojira · 24/05/2024 09:16

@lucysmam
How are you feeling this morning? I hope that you've told your lovely union rep about this harassment - because harassment is what it is. I hope you have a better day and sending you a big hug in advance of any twatbadgery you may encounter today x

@HellonHeels
I'm not even embarrassed but him taking a different trolley was really bizarre.
Also, yes, DC will be making a complaint this time and we've already sent an email registering our dissatisfaction - not had a reply yet so that another thing that I have to do next week.

@Enigma52
The lovely thing about a butt plug is that they come in lovely colours and actually look like an Object D'art so sort of blend in when you sit them up on end! Have you looked at the weird Object D'art stuff you can get from George, Dunelm or B&M?

We're off to SlamDunk today and coming back Sunday morning so busy packing a bag. I'm hoping that it will stay dry but have these giant rain poncho's (bargain £1 each at my shop!) but have just found out that we can't take camping chairs in so have got to take my waterproof picnic blanket (also a shop bargain at £2!). What type of festival doesn't allow bloody chairs? Last year it took three hours of queuing to get in to the car park due to grid lock and we missed half of the acts. This year we're in a hotel 10 minutes away so we can get in on time so fingers crossed because if they cock up again this year then I'm never going again.

lucysmam · 24/05/2024 17:39

Well the latest is I can go - without pay. But in future, book open days in term time (erm...not if they're not available) & they now want proof that injection/medication day is the 14th June...

And can I work until 10am...then bus there (1hr), wait around if they're running late (however long), or meds are not ready (again, however long), bus back (1 hr) and manage to make my 1:43 train after collecting my bag.

Leaving precisely no time to get myself ready, or help the girls 🙄🙄🙄

IS IT REALLY THAT FUCKING HARD!?

FFS! DICKHEADS.

I cried on our wonderful safeguarding lady this morning 😥 it's like they're deliberately trying to spoil what should be fun/exciting, for shits and giggles!

In other news, I have a haircut. It feels odd! & it's being coloured next Thurs before my weekend away with friends...my hairdresser did some jiggling to fit me in.
