I am ok FP. Spent today so far trying to dejunk! LONG way to go yet. I think when I am at work next week it will be very hard though, espeically once DH's family and my mum get here for Christmas. What was I thinking? I am working Xmas Eve/Xmas and having 4 extra people stay in our small 3 bed house.

E has my husbands colouring completely. I am blessed with murkey hair and boring eyes and has angelic blonde hair lucky girl!

Well you might be..... but im definetly not!!!
I was going to say with your dds hair and eyes she will be stunning when she grows up...but thought that sounds like shes not lovely now...which she is..you know what I mean!
I am victim to blue eyes and grim brown hair.
Dds have the same colour hair but dd2 got green eyes from somewhere? Mix of my blue and dps brown?

I am currently trying to trick myself into giving up by not going to the shop to buy more, which is quite effective in that I am very lazy.

Not sure how long you've been non-smokers now, but any tips for easing the mental strain would be really welcome

Hello!
You will thinkk about fags...you will...but it doesnt mean you have to buy any or smoke any.
If anything seems to difficult without a fag, leave it till you feel you can cope with it...then do it and feel you have accieved something.
Go outside and inhale somenice fresh air when life gets too much and your about to implode...
Come here and rant freely...there are a few thread from us lot...if you scroll through the health section you will find them and see how we have struggled and smoked and felt shit...LOL..
I am on my 3rd week of no fags.
I have been on and off for 2 years.
Since these threads have began I have not smoked for more than ...maybe 4 days in a row before trying again...
I feel empowered not smoking. I feel in control of it. Its Great

FP, I can really relate to what you say about feeling empowered by not smoking. I think that may be the key for me - I hate feeling that it is in control of me rather than the other way around.

Well I really think you should just grab the bull by the horns and go with it. If you go out now and buy any your going to feel gutted...and at some point if not today or tommorow...you will want to stop and you will have to try. And tommorow will be no easier than today. And you will start 2005 free of the weed...

Thanks for the picture Jenni, I've sent you one of us lot in return. My E has a very similar name to yours!

I always thought that dd would be bound to take on my Jewish colouring as it's so extremely dark. But she's just like dp, mousey hair and blue eyes. In fact she barely looks like me at all except for being skinny and maybe something around the shape of her face is like mine when I was small.

I want to see fg's kids now too! I've seen fg on the back of the novel and she looks fab.

great space-m, do join us, it really is fantastic to be able to think, even if you're craving ciggies madly, 'well, I can't have one because I don't smoke any more.' I still find it hard late at night when me and dh are slurping wine & he's chuffing away in front of me. I suck lozenges like crazy (have been 'clean' for 7 weeks. Smoked like a trouper for 20 years. I smoked so much I burnt ciggie hols in my veil on my wedding day).

The nativity was fab, ta for asking - I held it together till half way through, was just damp eyed, then E (my dd) sang a little solo and did it so beautifully I just cried & cried, mopping face on jumper sleeve! Was the worst crier in the room.

Email me a pic BM! You have my email don't you. I'll send you a pic of mine in a chrissie card. Mink, didn't I put a pic of my kids in your card???? Meant to!

My dh works in I.T. installing new computer systems etc. TBH his hours aren't usually this bad.

Gd'evening all.

I'll send you some pics too then fg. I don't think they're great pics the ones I've been mailing out. Dp saw them today and said 'why are you sending those ones?' To be honest I've got stacks and stacks of dd but hardly any of me and dp.

Dp's promised to leave his work this evening and watch a movie with me. But so far I've been waiting and waiting and he hasn't appeared ... This happens so often. Then he shows up at 10.30 and says 'sorry, I just got caught up in something.' We spend SO little time together it's absurd.

Awww BM, we accidently ended up watching Billy Connollly together which was nice, but it was a n accident and nearly every time we plan to watch something together it doesnt happen....
I have finished the decluttering of the house after my confession today. Whole place is done. Must take piccys of bathroom actually...just so you can see dps handywork!
Delighted DD1 by telling her if she wakes me up tommorow I will have a game of Monopoly with her first thing tommorow....considering I have been mother from Hell recently she was Over the Moon.
BM Hope your dp did leave his work to spend time with you...tell him hes too gorgeous to spend all his time with his books

thanks fp, luckily i have a great MIL so it's not hassle having her with us. i feel quite sorry for her actually as evil dh only told her last week that we weren't going up for xmas and all he said was that he 'couldn't be bothered' he knew 2months ago that we weren't going and i kept bugging him to let her know so that she wouldn't be disappointed too much...DO MEN KNOW NOTHING??????

have frantically been wrapping so that i could send up pressies with her tomorrow and couldn't face doing any of the others. WHY is everyone decluttering all of a sudden?

Mink, not everyone has the ability to be nice n tidy like you...lol...and we dont live next to ikea with all the fabbo storage ideas...
Dp said theres a big Ikea in croydon and a big...Ohhhh so thats why Mink is so tidy lightbulb flashed above my head!!!!!!
....Actually im shit shovelling to make way for what santa brings. We have more toys than woollies and some of it HAD to go. I am also a clutter collector and have been ruthlessly working through it trying to get it down to the bare minimum.
Fgs kids are lovely, you wait til you see them! They are really cute

you busted me fp! my house truly is the house of IKEA, if only you could see just how much comes from there we live just 15mins drive from there so it's just too easy! the key to looking tidy is to shit shovel into boxes that look less like toy boxes and more like pretentious props and then you don't have to sort anything until they get to an age when you can just shovel straight into the bin

Got your card yesterday and ds1 will scoff both the choccies in no time so no fear about that!! Thank you! Where did you find such a great envelope? ds1's well into pingu so he was itching to open it and had to wait till i woke up.

I love monopoly but there's no one to play it with and dh won't play with me can't wait till the boys are old enough to play all those board games, esp. monopoly as i'll get to bankrupt them in no time did you know you can buy a game called 'ghettopoly' which looks well fun?

can't wait to get your card fg! you have a fire, that's so cosy. unfortunately any kind of fire activity other than my scented candle would propel ds1 into setting himself alight and probably the rest of us. we've got a fireplace that's precariously boarded up with a metal sheet (with sharp edges naturally) that is stuck on with masking tape. i've just bought this thing called a chimney balloon which you stick up the flue and inflate to stop draught and crap coming down and then i've got to re-render the cement and paint it...all this was supposed to happen 2 yrs ago!

Definetly rumbled Mink !!!
I got the envelope from a really cheap shop in Chatham, Poundland...4 for a quid. bargain...except this is the only time of year they can be used!!!
Havent saw Ghettopoly..is that the up and coming version? With hiphop street and the likes?
It was Junior Monopoly we were playing, its great, the same as big monopoly but simpler..the kids picked it up in under 5 minutes when we first got it so it must be quite good. Can you not get Monopoly on a PC game? You could play by yourself then

I am having a very normal day birthday...drag the kids up to school sit on MN for an hour...do the housework....and my sisters coming round tonight which will be nice.
So far i have recieved a bottle of Tia Maria, some smellys x 3, a fluufy dog keyring, a blooming expensive ornament from Clinto Cards...a tatty teddy one, a rude cartoon book and yesterday we went bowling which, to stop dp spending anymore money, I said would be my birthday pressie and our Xmas Pressie to the kids.
How excited are your kiddies about Xmas...my 2 grin when I say its 5 more days but they are not bouncing round the ceiling yet!
