Try to calm down. I know how hard that is but just keep taking deep breaths

Hilllary, can you manage a drink? Apple juice or something?

Are you ok?

cathcart · 12/05/2007 17:16

yes a drink is good, something sweet.

paulaplumpbottom · 12/05/2007 17:17

I'm in Belfast, I don't suppose that is close by? I'm sure someone on here might be close by. Do you want someone to come and help you?

Hilllary · 12/05/2007 17:18

No there's nobody who can come to me - I think I may brave it and try the drive to my sisters, really dont like it on my own. I just called Tescos but they couldnt see if they had rescue remedy as they were too busy.

I will have some of dd's apple juice. Dont want to go out but think I may have to

Hilllary · 12/05/2007 17:22

cathcart · 12/05/2007 17:26

powder28 · 12/05/2007 17:28

Hillary panic attacks can last for a while, can you ring your sister first?

Hilllary · 12/05/2007 17:28

OP posts:
paulaplumpbottom · 12/05/2007 17:29

I'm sure there would be plenty of us who could talk you through it on the phone. I will if you would like

maximummummy · 12/05/2007 17:29

ok i have found a homoeopathic remedy ACONITE take the x30 strength when condition is severe you can take tablets every 20mins for the first hour
aconite is used for : sudden panic attacks
bereavement where death is sudden & shock is severe
shock fear & panic after an accident
amongst other things

i find these remedies a great help with my very anxious daughter also use on my dog and they work i have a first aid full of them and rarely need conventional drugs

hope you are feeling better

powder28 · 12/05/2007 17:30

Just do what you think is best, we are all here for you.

Hilllary · 12/05/2007 17:34

Maxi that sounds wonderful - where do you get it from? I'm allergic to nuts & egg would it still be ok?

I dont want to put anyone out I will see what my sister recommends I would like to go to her as I'm really on my own here. I'm a bit nervous when it comes to strangers, I think thats why I got it in the first place by going to meet people to do the mile for maude, I know you are not strangers as such buy YKWIM.

paulaplumpbottom · 12/05/2007 17:37

Maybe your sister will offer to come over

yogimum · 12/05/2007 17:40

Hillary, breathe through your nose only, and lengthen the exhalation. When you breathe in fill the belly. You could try counting the breath say breathe in for four counts and exhale fully for six counts and draw your belly in. This is the simplest breath for relaxation I can teach you.

cathcart · 12/05/2007 17:41

oh hills, you know you wouldn't be putting anyone out! Thats what we are all here for and I know I've been helped out by others here when I've needed it! Paula has offered to chat to you, I would happily give you a call and I'm sure others would too - but you would probably be inundated! I think a lot of us can identify with being nervous about rl strangers, thats why I for one am here! I can talk to you all and know I don't have to be afraid. But we are here for you in real life as well as on the pooter so just let us know what you feel like doing.
