Hello (hopefully) to Voodoo, Worley and Jennster!!

OP posts:
Jennster · 10/03/2007 13:57

without holding on to anything even

VoodooChickenhead · 11/03/2007 21:11

I just got a card last mothers day...from dd from within the womb (sweet!)
I am sending mum and MIL a card and that's enough.

Stayed atMILs again for the w/e as dh had a very important football match to go to snd she whisked dd down for breakfast missing out the early morning feed!!! Thanks a lot I had bursting knockers all day but what-ever. She said sorry afterwards, she'd forgotten about that feed,,,but FGS she should be encouraging me to BF like she did in the early days...ie. like Hitler would've...and now it suits her not to. Hypocrite!!!
Glad to be home. dd in bed an hour late as they made us wait so long for dinner. God I sound like an ungrateful cow but it is such hard work!!

Jennster · 11/03/2007 23:21

I'm getting from anybody I admit to that I'm still bfing. Not for much longer now. Problem is we then have to get up when she does....actually it means that ONE of us has to get up when she does......

DeputyMacDawg · 12/03/2007 13:11

I feel really self conscious now when I bf in public, never happened when dd was ickle.
Admittedly I only bf in emergency at times other than morning/night feeds.

Sunday morning 4.30 dd woke me up being violently sick in her cot . Had to strip her and the cot. She wasn't even perturbed by being in a bath at that time.

Was glad I was still bf, cos I didn't want to give her solid food till I was sure she was ok.
She's been fine since .

VoodooChickenhead · 13/03/2007 12:49

yeah its so useful in certain situations to whip out a jublee.

VoodooChickenhead · 13/03/2007 12:49

hope little macdog is better...ther's nothing like a random early morning puking incident!!!

DeputyMacDawg · 13/03/2007 18:49

Hey Voods.
MacPup fine now, but Mr MacDawg decided to add to the fun by hurling last night.
Washing machine going non-stop, as is tumble dryer. Hate using TD, but sun won't get into my back garden for another month or so (if it comes out at all )!!
I'm feeling a bit , but dh going back to work tomorrow so that should take the pressure off. Funny how it feels like 2 kids to look after when he's off .

Have given up on 'Cell'. Now reading Jeremy Clarkson's 'Born to be Riled' and laughing lots

DeputyMacDawg · 13/03/2007 19:00

Yesterday was our 2nd Wedding anniversary as well.

Just thought I'd mention that too

worleythewisp · 13/03/2007 21:05

hello,
they have d and v at ds2's nursery, so they arent letting parents in (as most of them work at the hospital also and we have had d&v and had to close off some wards)so we have been dropping of and picking up at the door, so when i got there to pick him uo this eve, he had just beem sick, so they have banned him for 3 days, which means i have to try and find some one to look after him friday or take a days holiday. he has been fine scince i've had him.

at work eveyone keeps asking" so are you still feeding him yourself?" and when i say yes they want to know how much longer im going to keep that up for!!!its as if they think its weird to still be bf or something??

of to bed now, have a splitting headache and earache, so about to go raid the med box and tuck my self up in bed.

worleythewisp · 13/03/2007 21:09

also i only bath ds2 every 3 days. (unless he's sick etc.) its not like hes playing in the mud all the time or something. i cant see the point in bathing them everyday in bubblebath etc. good old plain water will do, he doesnt really need chemicals and soaps on him yet.

[i promise he doesnt smell or anything]

Jennster · 13/03/2007 21:10

Congratulations MacDawg and hope the rest of the family getting better.

Are you still thinking about cloth nappies Worley? Just found this website.

Jennster · 13/03/2007 21:13

Oh dear. Hope you feeling better Worley. One of us shares a bath with dd every night, but we only use water with a drop or two of lavender oil. She does get absolutely filthy with snot and food though.

VoodooChickenhead · 14/03/2007 11:30

lol snot and food

VoodooChickenhead · 14/03/2007 11:34

dh's are indeed hard work. like little boys. It's no wonder men die younger when they live alone...how the hell do those ones cope with no woman to look after them!!
If I didnt cook/clean/do laundry god knows how dh would manage, he would have a lifetime membership to KFC. Bah.

I watched that Fallen Angel with Emilia Fox last 2 nights, I missed the first one. It was very spooky and distressing, but a good watch.

Talking of watches I got a battery put in dh's the other day, blinkin' £25 to get it resealed and pressure tested. He can have that battery as one of his birthday presents!!

Also spent £58 in Matalan on summer clothes for me and dd, naughty but nice. I got her a lovely dress to wear to her daddy's birthday party, white top, red ribbon belt with a bow and a full white skirt with navy polka dots and a navy band at the bottom, bargain £6!!!

DeputyMacDawg · 14/03/2007 12:54

MacDawg has now fallen victim to the lurgy.

Ain't no-one to look after me though .

Got dd a new toy in local charity shop. It's a simpler version of this , for the princely sum of £2. Appeals to her love of bashing things with hammers !!!!

Hopefully it'll keep her occupied while I deal with the d+v

VoodooChickenhead · 14/03/2007 19:54

what is d&v????????????

just been looking at nurseries/primary and secondary schools for dd...anal I know but in my mind they all are linked so you have to get the right one for the secondary school you want, assuming we dont move house anyway,,,

god it's eye-opening! the school closest to us has awful scores/exam results

VoodooChickenhead · 14/03/2007 19:55

and very very high unauthorised absences!!!

so will have to pick one further afield...hmmm

DeputyMacDawg · 14/03/2007 21:00

Diarrhoea and vomiting my darling Voods

Unless we win lottery dd will be going to local Primary/Secondary. Saves hassle

Jennster · 14/03/2007 21:04

d and v is diarrhoea and vomiting.

I live over the road from 2 charity shops. One is purely books, so can get loads of the newest ones for 70p a throw, and the other is mainly clothes. You can get some great bargains in there if you can be bothered to search them out. Just bought a summer weight gro-bag for £1.50 in a larger size. She's still in a 0-9 month one she's that tiddly.

Jennster · 14/03/2007 21:04

jinx

Jennster · 14/03/2007 21:05

And we can BOTH spell diarrhoea correctly

DeputyMacDawg · 14/03/2007 21:08
Grin
VoodooChickenhead · 15/03/2007 12:12

hmm d&v eh! hope you both feel better soon.

dd has just gone to sleep in my lap!
she is going back to having two little naps a day.
We went to playgroup yesterday and it was fine.
I just paid for my cartax online...very easy to do and not stressful at all.

wheres worley! busy x-raying crims no doubt...

VoodooChickenhead · 15/03/2007 12:14

anyone else got a babypassport yet? their websites gone down.
im going to take her pic for it with our digital camera...any tips!

DeputyMacDawg · 15/03/2007 19:30

How about these poses

d&v all better today. Took dd to her swimming class, then we both conked out on the settee for a nap
