Fear of being sick - emetophobia

I have read with great interest the number of messages on this site concerning fear of being sick (emetophobia). I am a Clinical Hypnotherapist based in London and treat many ladies suffering from this unpleasant phobia. Emetophobia is the fifth most common phobia but it is rarely highlighted in the media because it is (according to an editor I spoke to recently) too yucky to read about in a newspaper!
This is an extremely complex phobia that can lead to a number of other issues such as fear of pregnancy, fear of flying, claustrophobia, social phobia, fear of eating out, fear of travelling, fear of illness and in extreme cases sufferers are fearful of leaving their own homes.
Using Regression Hypnotherapy, the subconsciously hidden root cause of the issue can be located and subsequently fixed.

If your poor little DD hasn't been sick since first thing this morning, then I would bet £1000s on her not being sick again. Sleep tight and have a peaceful night. xx.

Hope your DD has a peaceful night, BB. Hopefully she will be lots better for your trip tomorrow.

Could this of been a slight dose of gastric flu!!!! Have you eaten anything yet! Oh and by the way I have rececently realised I take the lead of my DC if they want something to eat I let them, obviously bland things like toast, rice cakes rich tea bis and jacob cream crackers, also If my DD2 has nothing in her stomach after a bout of sickness she is always sick until we can get something in there to line it- that may of happened to your little one! Have a good journet tomorrow I wiil think of you upto 10am but hopefully you wont need it! PS when are you back?

Belgianbun - thats exactly my biggest problem, (not being with my dc when they are sick) the CD was brilliant, although I am being sent a replacement as there is a scratch on CD that sends it to a premature ending, missing out the positive ending and the gradual coming out of hypnosis, but what I did hear was so good, I didn't realise how relaxed I was until I clenched my teeth at something the therapist said! so I hope this will be the end to my anxieties! will let you know!

Hypnosis cd going wonders, I was at work the other day when someone was sick in the swimming pool, I managed sooooo well and........ I stayed in the pool.

Plus I don't seem to be toooo anxious whether the twins are going to be ill all the time, so I do recommend the CD (link at bottom of this thread) I even seem to be properly hypnotised throughout the cd and wake at the end! progress or what!

Now all I need to see is if someone is actually sick, and how I manage it!

sorry, have 3yo twins to look after in the daytime and have been at work for the last 4 nights! the link for the CD is at the bottom of this thread somewhere!

Yes the sick was in the swimming pool whilst I was teaching, you have to think its a kid that has been fed dinner too soon before swimming so it is actually regurgitation of dinner, when will parents get some sense about feeding children before swimming!!!!! aghhhhhh my pet hate!
