I have a doctors appointment at 4.40.
I've had three previous lumps removed, last one was six years ago. They were all fibroid adenomas.
I'm already very ill and waiting for an op to remove a kidney stone.
Please cross fingers fanjos and norks that this will be ok.

Sorry to see that OJ. But as your DS said. " glad to know you are alive " you really have been going through the mill haven't you .
Hi NSF !

onlyjoking9329 · 19/05/2014 13:35

It's our new catchphrase "I'm not dead, yet"
I'm trying to keep positive but this stuff is rather getting in the way of our family life, we have holidays and other stuff to squeeze in. I'm just really tired and tearful today, hospitals are not restful places, I can't say I'm missing the constant buzzer action or the 'food' and I use that term loosely.

I'm sure it's very difficult for you OJ. And I'm sure you can't wait for it all to be sorted and you can get on the road to recovery.
How are your twins doing ? And how is your awful ex in law family behaving ?

onlyjoking9329 · 28/05/2014 02:07

Sorry Mummylin, only just seen your message.
I have a mammogram this afternoon. They will know what is needed to deal with the lump.
I have a date for them to attempt boulder removal, will need a general and maybe a couple of nights in hospital, I've made it clear I don't want to be using the most excellent facilities that ICU has to offer.

When do you have to go in ? Hope it's not long to wait. I'm sure you will be so relieved when stones have been removed. Lets hope we have a nice summer so you can relax in the warm and recuperate

NormaStanleyFletcher · 29/05/2014 10:06

Hey OJ.

How soon is the op? It must be good to have a date?

onlyjoking9329 · 29/05/2014 14:01

I'm going in on Monday for my op, I'm excited and terrified, I'd like to fast forward to it all done and dusted.
We have lots of summer plans, which include road trips on my Harley and trips away in our camper van

I have yet another lump in my breast.

Ohhh. Monday is soon! I can understand the mixture of emotion.

I will keep my fingers totally crossed for a great outcome (and no ICU) :)

onlyjoking9329 · 29/05/2014 14:24

It's been a stressful few months I will be glad to see the back of it, I'm beyond bored of being in bed.
I was due to have a medical from the DLA/PIPs on Tuesday, they canceled an hour before they were due.
This is the fourth time they've cancelled, I'd love them to turn up and see how ill I am, I've got a 40 hour a week care package not to mention the times my DP was told I was critical and may not make it.
You'd think that would be enough evidence surely.
My GP is sending them a letter, more stress whilst we wait for the outcome.

It's my twin DDs 20th birthday on the 7th so I need to be home by then.
They are NOT allowed to cancel.

NormaStanleyFletcher · 29/05/2014 16:38

Noooo. They can't be 20? Really?

I love the Trike by the way :)

onlyjoking9329 · 29/05/2014 20:58

I know, where does the time go?
That's Tom and Elliot(17) on my trike, Steve and I always wanted a Harley.
I got it on 9th June last year, which was the fifth anniversary of his death, I thought it was very fitting.it is very beautiful and gets lots of attention where ever we go.

Hope everything will go ok for you OJ . Like NSF I can't believe your twins are 20 yrs old ! My god where has that time gone ? How old is E now ?

NormaStanleyFletcher · 30/05/2014 17:39

Gosh. Is it is almost 6 years then. It doesn't seem that long ago.

Are you all ready for Monday? How are your nerves holding up?

onlyjoking9329 · 30/05/2014 18:36

I know, 20, it's hard to believe, lyn Elliot is seventeen. I will be 50 in December then Elliot will be 18 and Abbey and Bethan will be 21, that's a lot of big birthdays within six months.my nerves are jangling I want to get it done but I'm scared by the admission in January, I know there's a possiblity I will need ICU, I really don't want to do that again. I'm comforting myself with the fact that they've dealt with me before, they would be in big trouble should it happen to me all over again.

OP posts:
mummylin2495 · 30/05/2014 19:29

I can quite understand your being nervous OJ, hopefully in view of how it went last time, they will be aware and on the lookout for any danger signs. How long are you expecting to stay in?

onlyjoking9329 · 30/05/2014 19:39

That's what I'm hoping too.
Not sure how long I'll be in, at least one night, but there was talk about clamping the drainage tube that goes from kidney out into the nephrostomy bag. They do this to check if the plumbing is working, they clamp for 24 hours, if plumbing is ok they will remove the nephrostomy bag, I will need to have a general for that too, I'm not sure how close together you can have generals, otherwise I may have to come home with the bag and have it removed at a later date. The bag and the tube through it are very sore I get thrush around the wound too, I use the photos of it to scare people Wink

OP posts:
mummylin2495 · 30/05/2014 19:47

I'm sure you will feel so much more comfortable with the bag removed, lets hope they can do that at the same time. Will be thinking of you on Monday OJ. Thanks

JodieGarberJacob · 30/05/2014 20:01

Another old timer/name changer here wishing you well. xx Wine
