Zombie needs her limbs holding

Valpollicella · 05/03/2014 00:05

With Zombie's permission, I'm starting this thread

As many of you know she has had a hideous time through her treatment for cancer.

At the point where she was maybe out of the woods she has been asked to see her surgeon on Friday. Unexpectedly Sad

Can we all squeeze her together so her limbs don't go flailing
and do what we vipers do best?

I cannot bear the thought of her going through all the treatment s again after coming out of it before

Prayers, fingers crossing or whatever welcome right now

spiderlight · 08/03/2014 20:38

Sorry it's not the greatest news but it sounds as if there are sensible options foor what happens next. You remain firmly in my thoughts.

IamtheZombie · 09/03/2014 00:53

More thanks to everyone.

I really do have the most amazing health care team possible. In addition to the praise I gave them earlier in the thread, they have all treated me as an equal team member. None of what I have been through nor what I may yet need to go through is being done to me. I can discuss absolutely anything with them and they respect my input. That's why I trust them implicitly. We're all in this together.

TanteRose · 09/03/2014 02:16

Hi Zombie Smile

Sounds like an amazing team - it must make such a difference when you have that level of trust.

When do you think you'll get the biopsy? Will it be a matter of days or weeks?

Big hugs Flowers

lessonsintightropes · 09/03/2014 02:19

Ahh Zombie I am very sorry you are facing this horrible situation, after what sounds like a long fight already Thanks Thanks Thanks

Sounds like you also have a brilliant team of people in your corner which is half the battle.

Sending you warm wishes and a lot of hope, and hope you don't mind but also a bit of prayer. Hope your biopsy comes back clear. xx

FolkGirl · 09/03/2014 06:00

Fingers crossed for you Flowers

SoftKittyWarmKitty · 09/03/2014 07:15

So sorry to read this Zombie, I truly hope you get good news from the biopsy.

PumpkinsMummy · 09/03/2014 10:23

that's crap news Zombie, but great to hear how good your care team are, and they better be, or mumsnet will get them . I don't pray as I'm not religious, but I will keep you in my thoughts, and am sending happy good news vibes into the universe for you. You are an inspiration and legend on here, and I'm sure in real life too, so lean on us vipers and we will be here as long as you need us.x

PedantMarina · 10/03/2014 16:20

PedantMarina wonders how Zombie did today...

IamtheZombie · 10/03/2014 18:26

I had hoped the appointment letter for the biopsy would arrive today but it didn't. Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

Otherwise it was a good day. Met XH for lunch (to return more of his things) and it was warm enough to sit in the beer garden at the pub. It was also a lovely day for the drive.

ZingSweetMango · 10/03/2014 18:28

so you'll know the result tomorrow?

fingers, toes and eyes are crossed for you!

IamtheZombie · 10/03/2014 18:33

No, I'm hoping that tomorrow I'll find out when they will do the biopsy. After that I will have to wait for an appointment with my surgeon to find out the results. I'm probably looking at 2 - 3 weeks until I know what, if anything, will need to be done.

TotallyBenHanscom · 10/03/2014 18:45

So sorry to read this Zombie. I hope you find enough distractions to fill the waiting hours.

ZingSweetMango · 11/03/2014 07:18

pfft, very stressful to have to wait for that long. (Thanks for explaining)

Finding things to distract you is so tricky - you don't want to think about it but can't help thinking about it.
I hope you will have a lovely day today, and that the letter arrives promptly.

(hugs)

ZingSweetMango · 11/03/2014 07:19

(as in I agree with you totally, distraction are good.)

CFSKate · 11/03/2014 17:43

I hope the letter comes soon.

ZingSweetMango · 12/03/2014 01:01

hope you got the letter and an appointment soon.

also that you had a good day.
sending you more big hugs.

sanssoleil · 12/03/2014 01:34
