Cabbage Soup/Negative Calorie Diet - Anyone with experience?

Happy New Year All...

I thought I might try the Cabbage Soup diet this month (after reading about it here)... I went to the website given and found reference to the Negative Calorie Diet (which I've not heard of before) it sounds too good to be true...

Does anyone have experience of this diet?
Does anyone know if the book is currently available in the uk?

TIA

3 bananas, 1 apple, 2 plums and a confession

I have sinned!!!

I don't want you all to hate me, but I feel really bad, I won't say what I ate otherwise I'll be lynched

However cabbage soup and yoghurt for dinner tonight

Roll on tomorrow with soup, veggies and fruit. I have a yummy veggie casserole in the fridge. Ssquash, courgettes, peppers, cauliflower etc with passata and carribean curry spice mix!

I love the Seasoned Pioneers spice mixes, does anyone else know them?? Nigella raves about them, I use loads of the Morrocan ones, and I have just bought the Carribean mix. Do try them, the liven up a veggie casserole really easily - I just slung in a couple of tsp.

Crunchie!! that makes my 3 crisps look pretty good

I am still loosing 1lb per day and today is my last day. Really pleased with myself, which I shouldn't be, still a long way to go.

WideWebWitch · 09/01/2004 10:26

What do you reckon on calories in scrapes of butter? I've been quite good but couldn't resist butter on my toast this morning. Count it as 100 for each piece? (sorry, I know this is boring!)

Beety you must have suddenly lost the lbs!! Well done.

I am doing a day like day 3. Fruit veg and soup. I don't eat fish, but I eat prawns so tomorrow I am planning fruit, veg and prawns and soup!! A prawn stir-fry maybe? Using oil spray and soy sauce with fresh ginger and chilli - yummy, looking foward to it already!!

I will not cheat
I will not cheat
I will not cheat ...

I am still doing my lines!!

I weighed myself this morning and have now lost 3lbs. Not bad as I have not stuck to the diet just used it as a slightly flexible guide.

I think we're all doing very well

oh yes, and fruit tea, I could win gold medals in weeing!
Glad I only decided to do it for five days. Will you be ok over the weekend, but you're made of stronger stuff than me!

Been meaning to ask you, do you dry skin brush? It was recommended on the Carol Voderman detox and I did it then and loved it, keep meaning to start again.

well done you!

on green days (slimming world) now and loving my glass of wine but managed 5 lbs in 5 days.
keep going!

salt · 12/01/2004 09:02

I lost a grand total of 4lbs in 5 days - I fell of the wagon at the weekend. With 2 meals out and a heavy night out on the town

on the upside I wieghed myself this morning and the 4lbs are still nowhere to be seen so I'm very pleased

I am back on the wagon today and I'm going to be making some more soup tomorrow.

Beety 4lbs is really good in the scheme of things, remember that is 40% of what you want to lose overall.

I will post tomorrow as I am back at SW tonight, I think I have lost 1 or 2lbs!! However I will be honest and agree I fell of the wagon a bit. But with only 8 or 9 lbs to lose I didn't really expect half of it to go. Hopefully I'll get back to target soon. If I can do 1 - 2lbs a week it will be about 5 - 6 weeks.
