OP posts:
topsyturner · 03/06/2012 21:08

Was he the one who made the Royal Barge go sideways to dock Gig ???
Found that v impressive !

Am cringing at the interviews in The Apprentice ...

Gigondas · 03/06/2012 21:14

Yep he was.

The interviews are car crash viewing

HRHQueenMaryAnnSingleton · 03/06/2012 21:50

oh wow gig ! I have to say I dipped in and out of the pageant -we had to go to the end of our road to watch the carnival go by (esp as neighbours dcs were dressed as a preying mantis and a butterfly) Then supper at parents with birthday cake for T.

Gigondas · 03/06/2012 22:05

Did t enjoy his birthday tea?

It was a really nice sight- really amazing the different boats. Shame about weather and also tv coverage was patchy (we were dipping in/out from watching it in the warm).

HRHQueenMaryAnnSingleton · 03/06/2012 22:10

yes, he did - pictures soon on my fb page..he is being very affectionate- bless him

topsyturner · 03/06/2012 22:46

Was he really Gig ???
What a claim to fame !

topsyturner · 03/06/2012 22:47

Aw he's going to miss you Mas .
And I think you will be feeling the same way !

Gigondas · 04/06/2012 07:07

mas and topsy dss was curled up on sofa cuddling dh after helping put big gig to bed - he is nearly 22. So they do stay little boys in some way despite the pain in an arse times as a teen.

Excitement for holiday here from big gig who work at 6...

And yep we are all very proud of stepdad- loads of planning involved. The kids loved it esp as he sneaked out to wave at them when went past - it was granddad boat not the queens Grin

That's the technical summary of that research with the statistics in it.

Gigondas · 04/06/2012 08:51

Wish there was something that hopeful about my condition (although on the other hand if hardly anyone gets it who knows what my prognosis is as they can't do many studies).

HRHQueenMaryAnnSingleton · 04/06/2012 09:24

(((gig)))
Love that dss cuddles up to his dad still- my bro,who is 46 still hugs my dad,it's lovely I think- hate the formal handshaking between family men -so stiff.
I will miss my boy -I had a huge mega anxiety dream (not about him but all the usual stuff) last night.

jchocchip · 04/06/2012 11:44

Wow the sun is out! Closing the street ready for our party later, made some buns and scones and going to prep some strawberries :) Felt a few drops of rain earlier, but hoping we will get off lightly!

HRHQueenMaryAnnSingleton · 04/06/2012 12:18

fingers crossed for dry weather and sun jane - have fun !

smee · 04/06/2012 17:48

Running in and out fast, dodging the rain and spectacularly failing to do anything productive. How very British this weather is.

Greylady, haven't read, but stay here...! Grr to whoever was horrid. I'd have been upset by it good.

See Amber's been sprinkling her handy stats again. Do like it when you do that. Smile

No time to read properly. Will try to tomorrow, just wanted to say hello and check we're all still upright. Am failing spectacularly at all things jubilee - only think I've managed to join in so far is getting soaked. Grin

Gigondas · 04/06/2012 19:15

Meant to say greylady please don't take it to heart. There are some right badgers on here. Plus posting on some threads (names, aibu) rarely ends well- the amount of people who get the hump as they aren't asking aibu but I know I am right.

Back in French France so stinky cheese and dark chocolate mousse for all.

HRHQueenMaryAnnSingleton · 04/06/2012 20:03

have a fab time gig ! Have packed T's suitcase and now drinking wine

Gigondas · 04/06/2012 20:22

Hmm wine.. That is needed

topsyturner · 04/06/2012 20:33

Haven't drunk any wine in over 3 weeks now ! Don't think my body can handle it .
Smelly cheese and chocolate mousse now ...
Grin

thegreylady · 04/06/2012 21:19

Cant do smelly cheese but wine and chocolate mousse....ohhh yes :)
had lovely lunch with dd.her dh and two lovely dgs yesterday. Some very funny questions from 3 year old about whole Jubilee/Monarchy thing eg "how big is a 60 diamond?" "Is the queen as old as you grandma?"I am 68 but still..

HRHQueenMaryAnnSingleton · 04/06/2012 21:42

aw bless greylady

topsyturner · 04/06/2012 21:48

Grey blardy kids !
My DD delights in telling everyone exactly how old DH and I are !

Quantum of Solace and a minty aero for me this evening .
I fear I may have a minty aero abuse problem going on right now . And tesco is enabling me by offering 3 for £1.20 !
How many would you consider excessive to eat in one day week ?

Gigondas · 04/06/2012 21:51

Isn't mint a herb with medicinal qualities?

Glass of rose and jubilee concert here. It was that or a documentary on sarkozy

topsyturner · 04/06/2012 21:54

Hmmm must google the medicinal qualities of mint ...

graciesmall09 · 04/06/2012 22:04

Topsy Spar have 3 for £1.00, I may have purchased lots one packet.

Thanks for the link amber will have a read.

Another hectic day, spent 4 hours walking around a family fun day. Vegging on the sofa now, if I can be bothered I may have some Ben & Jerry's. Wonder which one of my lovely children would get it for me.

Enjoy French France gigs I have a picture in my head of you sitting at some lovely French cafe in the morning with warm croissants and cafe au lait.

jchocchip · 04/06/2012 22:06

Wow we were so lucky with the weather - managed to dodge all the showers and had a really good time with the neighbours - scones, jam and cream at 3pm barbecue later and lots of jelly and buns. and Wine Grin All the little children loved whizzing around on scooters and bikes, we should close the road more often! Let off a couple of (wire free) sky lanterns - was worried that one had caught fire on the way up but think we got away with it. At least all the fields are soaked so there shouldn't be any problems.

Keep meaning to grab some mint from my Mum's garden. Now I have my own Moroccan teapot :)

topsy mint aero have mint which is a good thing and lots of air so hardly any calories ...
