I have scar tissue at different levels from where my lump was removed amber, some near the surface of the nipple and some quite deep in....I am sure that is all it is for you too. Try not to stress about it. X

thegreylady · 18/03/2012 18:13

Got antibx from OOH doc today-couldnt face another night of cough cough coughing-he said that if there is a temp and a 'productive' cough then it is a secondary infection and antibx are the only answer.back with my old pal amoxicillin for 7 days.
Amber that certainly sounds like scar tissue to me but it is so easy to become fixated on symptoms post bc.I still do it after 5 and a half years.

1stepatatime · 18/03/2012 18:31

Hi everyone, hope you've all had a good day.

Amber - I haven't got any experience to offer, but just wanted to send a reassuring hug your way. I think you mentioned you have a check up next week, is it something you could ask about at the same time to help put your mind at rest?

Gig - I'll add some nice smellies to my list. Like the idea of a onesie, but don't think I've got the figure for one - imagining myself looking like the fifth member of the teletubbies!

Getting lots of practical offers of help for post surgery which is nice, it's good to know I'll have plenty of support as and when I need it. Feeling odd about going to work tomorrow, worried I won't be able to concentrate, but will just have to see how it goes.

I'm leaving some Thorntons choccies on the fbs trolley to help you celebrate Mother's Day (only had 2 and got indigestion) - enjoy!

Gigondas · 18/03/2012 18:39

Marking spot- feel rubbish as been in bed with flu all day.Sad

Amber- scar tissue does feel hard and lumpy as others have said. I have a hard line like a lump under the scar where they removed by galactaceole.

1st glad you are getting help- and no onesie isn't elegant but is comfy Grin

1stepatatime · 18/03/2012 18:51

Sorry you're feeling poorly Gig, snuggling up under the duvet is best place to be, hope you feel better soon.

holstenlips · 18/03/2012 19:04

Get well soon Gig, that's all you bloody need :(
Amber, try not to worry (yeah right) hugs your way
I have scar tissue, in a different place, but certainly feels hard.
Hope all the mums had a good day, I have chocs for fbs trolley please eat them I'm stuffed!

holstenlips · 18/03/2012 19:08

Good luck for work 1step, I know what u mean, its so hard to concentrate on anything but maybe will distract you a little. Hope you have nice employer, I'm lucky in that mine have been very understanding and forgiving!

KurriKurri · 18/03/2012 19:48

Quick good evening to all.

amber lovey try not to worry, it sounds just like scar tissue - I've got a load under my arm from my op. which feels like a lump, but is nothing sinister. Am sure they will put your mind at rest at your check up.

Sorry you are fluey Gig Sad - hope it improves soon, and pleased you have some AB's Greylady and can shake off your nasty cough.

1step - anything that will make you feel comfy and nice in hospital is a good thing. nice hand cream, etc. - and baby wipes handy for freshening up in hot hospital. Good luck at work tomorrow.

Sparkle - men are often crap at remembering and organizing stuff, but your swimming sounds good fun Smile Thanks

Waving to Holsten hope you had a good weekend, and that everyone else had a good mother's day.

amberlight · 18/03/2012 20:38

MaryAnnSingleton · 18/03/2012 22:50

oh poor gig and greylady - feel better soon both of you.
Ha ! I lost the bid for the converses, but never mind- they'd've only been a bit less than buying online so I could go ahead and order some blue ones after all !
Sleep well everyone xx

OP posts:
smee · 18/03/2012 23:26

Am sure I'd effortlessly win the gold. Grin

Hope gig and grey lady feel better soon. Flu and lurgies sound grim indeed. I'm feeling a bit sick too, but it's from too much mother's day choc, so definitely don't deserve any sympathy.

Wishing you all sleep.. xxx Smile

jchocchip · 19/03/2012 07:14

Brew on the go here. Thanks for all the messages of support re ds. Guess he was not ready for it. Will give him some time to decide what to do next.

Hope you all managed some sleep. Looks nice and sunny here :)

SparkleRainbow · 19/03/2012 08:28

Fresh Brew on as I missed j's.....beautiful sunny day here too. Ds at home with neck pain and associated stuff, dd1 at home with sore throat.....dd2 very happy as she can play with them Grin Will be a busy day, but will pop in and out to keep up with news, eat fbs and hand hold where necessary.

If proof reading of this message was anything to go by, today is going to be another doozy for me.....children in red wine.....

Well having got antibx for the ruddy cough I have now developed a very sore, itch bright red area under my right breast. I am pretty sure it is intertrigo which I have had before but I am so fed up with feeling I'll and now I am uncomfortable as well. I wish I could go to sleep for a week and wake up feeling fine. Happy Monday every one :-)

topsyturner · 19/03/2012 09:48

Sad grey lady. Impetigo's nasty.

Gig' how are you today??

Ned, good to hear you're not so bad. Being tired's dull, but it's better than feeling sick! Smile

Gorgeous day here too. Don't want to be inside working that's for sure. Coffee on the stove, and birds tweeting outside. Might take a cup into the garden to watch them for a while. Smile

NedSchneebly · 19/03/2012 11:20
