Ds has just handcuffed himself to the kitchen door....... just checking his equipment so he can apprehend the bad guys smee's ds catches with his trip wire!

Very tempting to leave him there, but must go and find the key before he breaks the plastic lock.

reallywoundup · 19/11/2010 18:39

shameless showing off BearGrinBear

smee · 19/11/2010 18:48

My you look the part, RWU. Cute horsey footwork - just look at him posing. Grin

Sparkle. DS is all ready in his cape and pants - not sure where the rest of his clothes went - will tell him to send baddies over. That Dundee Cake sounds rather essential..

MAS am heading to the pub in a bit, so will raise you a pint. Grin

KurriKurri · 19/11/2010 19:13

Great photo RWU , - I think your horse likes having his photo taken! You obviously have a very good seat

DD has arrived home for a surprise visit (well she phoned me from the train) so may do a bit of girly shopping this weekend.

Apparently my great niece (who is nearly 2), was discovered by her daddy in the bathroom yesterday, - she had opened every single thing that could be squeezed or poured, and put it all over herself, in her hair everywhere. When he went in she grinned at him and said 'cheeky monkey, cheeky monkey' Grin

SparkleRainbow · 19/11/2010 19:56

Archie is definitely posing, has he been told that pointing your toes makes you look to have slimmer legs

He does look beautiful, my dd is very jealous - major horse lover at the age of 5.

As for "cheeky monkey"....they are experts at using cuteness to get them out of trouble! Grin Ds has collapsed into an armchair exhausted, he was apparently a bit pesky at Beavers, and he cried when he got home and said he was ashamed of himself, no catching bad guys tonight. Smee your ds will have to hold the fort!

Bear Grin Bear

MaryAnnSingleton · 19/11/2010 22:48

horsey picture is fab- he is lovely,so are you RWU !
KK - hooray for girly shopping Grin
Sparkle- love the sound of your ds!
Am a bit peed off as have sent picture to USA recorded as I mistrust post but recipient has said that she is seldom ion and will have to travel to a p office miles away to get it, makes me feel bad now- was only trying to do the safest thing-and it cost £6 - grrr

Add some chocolate buttons, a glass of wine (doesn't count as it's medicine isn't it ?) and some cheeselets
to my FBS count.
did about an hour and a half of yoga and meditation so needed restoring.
Gah ! not only have I a smear test to look forward to but a pneumoccocal jab- had one 5 years ago and it hurt and made me feel ill Sad

sandripples · 20/11/2010 09:07

Yes hope you have a good time RWU. And next time you're in Warrington let me know i case we could meet up. Mind you I am not horsey at all so we might find it difficult to have a converstaion Grin YOur photo is lovely. I thought itmight be your DD at first but reminded myslef that you're a lot younger than me - and indeed closer in age to my DD than me - I tend to forget this online!

I like whoever said you imagine we're all willowy on-line. I would post a pic of myslef but don't know how to do it! Are there instructions on here somewhere?

Am a bit nervous knowing that our security defenses are weak at the mo' due to Sparkle's DS being out of action. Hope he'll be back up to scratch today. Meanwhile the country is relying on your DS, Smee.

Grin at cheeky monkey story!

Busy Saturday ahead - making Christmas cake, taking DS to piano and climbing, sorting a few things for party next w/e.... the party is an incentive to keep out of the biscuit box I think, as well as the nut box, the ice cream department, the sweetie box, the cheese box......have a good w/e everyone.

cupcaked · 20/11/2010 10:59

Hi all, sorry I have also been lurking trying to keep up but having no time to post. Can't believe RWU's accidental acquisition of 2 horses! Sounds like u r getting fun out of them anyway.

I am back in a surgical ward, had more surgery yday for these ongoing wound problems. They didn't want to jump in too quickly after radiotherapy finished as skin still fragile, but really took off in the last week or 2. So now I am waiting to see if it looks like is going to heal or if I need to have a vacuum drain attached 24/7. Fingers crossed.

Other than that, all good, similarly delighted to have eyebrows and eyelashes again, tho have to say my hair is extremely butch. Looking with interest at Emma
Watsons short do but am million miles away from that in very many respects! Still wearing wig when out n about, and prob will do for another month. Love that it is woolly hat season tho.

Pennies, thnx for bringing that up- have no tips either unfortunately but am pleased to hear am not the only one with zero libido. Don't think it's just physical, but it is just the last thing on my mind. Probably since chemo actually, and am sure tamoxifen not helping. I do feel very bad as it is sitting undiscussed between dh and me, and it must be hard for him, but I don't want to bring it up when I have no solutions, so it's head in the sand for now anyway.. Have tried various lubes (sorry if tmi) and it helps physically but doesn't improve libido at all of course..

Away to eat a tunnocks snowball or 2, tissue viability nurses say I must maintain good nutrition. Wound healing needs calories doesn't it??

KurriKurri · 20/11/2010 11:15

CC - lovely to hear from you, but really sorry you are in hospital. You have had such a horrible time with your wound Sad keeping everything crossed that it heals well this time. Have a Bear for luck!

RWU - Blood Brothers sounds great, have a fab time, (Mel C is by far my favourite ex. spice girl, I think she's got a lovely voice)

SR - you have reminded me I need to make my Christmas cake, I will get going on that next week I think. I also don't know how to do the profile thing, when I put pictures up, DH does it through his flickr site. (I am pretty clueless about such things)

Grr about the posting MAS, but don't feel bad, it is much safer to send things recorded - you'd have felt worse if you hadn't and it had gone missing.
And ouch to the jab - is that something you have to have because of your spleen problem (I hope I've got that right, and not completely misremembered)

DD is not up yet (lazy madamGrin) so girly shopping will be this afternoon or tomorrow!

Good luck to all the little boys on duty protecting the universe this weekend Grin

MaryAnnSingleton · 20/11/2010 12:10

hello cupcaked - sorry to hear about being in hosp. - hope the pesky wound can be sorted asap.
KK - you remembered well- will pick a week when I'm feeling up to being jabbed -it was very nasty last time and I'm usually quite resilient.
Your houses are going to smell divine with Christmas cake baking Smile

Now post pics for me to see you !

OP posts:
KurriKurri · 20/11/2010 13:51

MAS - I can't see your photo because I'm not on facebook Sad

KurriKurri · 20/11/2010 13:53

I will try to find some respectable pictures of me over the weekend - there aren't manyGrin

MaryAnnSingleton · 20/11/2010 14:34

OP posts:
KurriKurri · 20/11/2010 14:56

Yes that one works - you look lovelySmile, - very pretty and enviably thin EnvyGrin. What is your hair like now?, - you have a lovely shaped face for either short or long Smile (I also very much like your bag!)

sandripples · 20/11/2010 15:56

Cupcaked - really sorry to hear you're back in hospital with grotty wound problems. I hope it gets sorted out soon as it must be very tiresome - though I hope you're managing to keep cheerful.

Nice photo MAS -I once joined FB but never use it, but once you have an account you sort of keep it don't you.

smee · 20/11/2010 17:47

Cupcakes, I love Tunnocks, but surely you deserve better?! Sorry to hear you're in hospital, but it's good to see you back. Have they said how long you'll be there?

Kurri, have you got to the shops yet? How lovely your DD just deciding just to turn up. And Cheeky Monkey sounds great fun, though having said that, am glad she's not mine. Grin

MAS great pic. Yes, what's hair like now? I think it's shorter isn't it and more shaped? Kurri's right about posting to the States. Imagine if you hadn't sent it recorded and it had been lost?

RWU, have a great time at Blood Brothers. I saw it years and years ago, and can't remember anything other than the fact that it's good.

Sparkle, is your DS okay to secure the rest of the free world, only apparently there's a witch in our bathroom. Thankfully DS is on the case; currently caped and manically stacking a barricade of toilet rolls across the doorway. Can hear him screetching at DH that he can't go in. It's just deserts, as it was DH who bulk bought the toilet rolls. I did warn him they'd never stay in the cupboard.. Grin

SR, hope you're managing to stay away from the fridge, though it is Saturday night, so don't be too harsh on yourself.

Have a good weekend everyone. Cupcaked, get out soon and take care of yourself.

smee · 20/11/2010 17:59

Oops, should be 'desserts' Grin

MaryAnnSingleton · 20/11/2010 21:53

ooh, didn't think it'd worked - hair is much shorter (in fact think I like it best like this- kind of short choppy bob -ish) thank you for nice comments - absolutely hate my picture being taken but it was such a very special day)

Have been disgusting and finished the haribos and eaten some pink prawn sweeties - am building up my stregth for a whole day of near silent meditation (10-5 pm !!)

OP posts:
MaryAnnSingleton · 20/11/2010 21:54

p.s. bag was a freebie when dad bought my mum some Givenchy Amarige for her birthday - it came with some nice posh lipgloss.

reallywoundup · 20/11/2010 22:03

Blood Brothers was absolutely amazing! and i appear to have agreed to a shopping trip to Liverpool on Wednesday... and joined the WI Blush

i have to say that the pic of me is not wonderfully flattering in the thigh department, i think i look out of proportion to the horse (as that pic is me on the ds's horse) i look rather chunky!

sorry to hear you are back in cupcake, all the best and keep up with that good nutrition Wink
