crispy - have had a very similar convo re:contractions with my friend who had 2 elcs, and yep, I told her she was missing nowt! oh and well done re:new work etc, you sound busy.

trills - it's all a bit of a lottery, have met one girl who was 6cm dilated and in labour and didn't notice a thing as no pain, fortunately she had a midwife checkup that day!!!

mousey - what would miflaw answer to that question re:spritzer......

Mouseface · 07/08/2010 18:44

He'd set me alight with his words of fire wisdom.

He'd also say 'have one or two or ten' etc.......

And also some much more clever stuff.

I heart MIFLAW. And he knows it.

Wobble over,

Ok, diet coke it is. Smile

That can be my treat.

Thank you. xx

CrispyTheCrisp · 07/08/2010 19:22

TC - has been very busy. Being the first job (which i hope will lead to more), I am trying to impress!

Well done Mouse. Stay strong Smile

Mittz, has DS come home from his Dad's?

Disaster zone here. The chinese restaurant is not answering Shock. Turned to Angry. DH has suggested a curry but I WANT CHINESE . No other good ones round her sadly

Enjoy your curry Alice, or perhaps you could have a chinese for me Grin

Envy SAF. No Thai close by (assuming you meant me not Lizzy)Grin. Good luck with the nappy, or could you leave it and cross your fingers?

Hi/Bye Fluff Smile

Lizzylou · 07/08/2010 19:57

Strangely, we have a few good thai places, come NORTH Crispy, it only rains 360 days of the year!

Am sooo cultured, have just watched Elizabeth and got books on Britanny and the history of the celts from the library, just got to read em now!!!!

Watching The Changeling, see you all tomorrow

mittz · 07/08/2010 20:20

No, he didn't Crispy, it really troubles me.. I see their relationship healing and know from my DSS's that Ex has the potential to be a great Dad but he just doesn't 'get' our DS.

I talked to DS on the phone, not wanting to encourage him to stay if it is bad but recognising that DS can be 'challenging' and having him come home to me every time things kick off isn't helping them either. But as DS said he would stay and see how things went, I heard his Dad say ''well there doesn't seem to be much wrong with your foot now'' in a tone that made me wince. I am not sure what was going on and when we went to hospital yesterday there was no doubt he had an infection and it was very painful. Then I felt like crap that I was being protective of my child free time influences me Sad...massive guilt over that. I wish there was a guide book.

It really doesn't rain in the peak district, grey quite a bit but as someone who is out and about so much I very rarely get rained on and never carry an umbrella or raincoat Hmm Or maybe I just have my own personal chink in the cloud Grin.

I am not hot on history.. Blush I want to be but it just eludes me. Loved the BBC Henry 8th series but only because I had the hots for Natalie Dormer 2nd picture down

CrispyTheCrisp · 07/08/2010 20:24

Am loving your personal chink in the cloud Mittz Smile. Hope DS manages to sort it out with his dad and he is a bit nicer to him Sad

Sounds delicious SAF, my mouth is watering now LOL

After not having a single evening with DH this week due to work and my sis being here, i shall say goodnight to you all too.

I am the size of a house if that helps! Will be trying to lose it after the baby is born though.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 07/08/2010 22:54

Hello, work was the usual bollocks, meeting was cancelled so I am glad I sacked off the paperwork.

Mouse, I'm glad you are still on the wagon. Smile

Morning, tis me, Mouseface.

Thank you all for your continued support! I stayed firmly sat on the wagon, many due to the fear of MIFLAW!! Spot on TC!!

Double - sorry you are still feeling shite my lovely. Thank you for thinking of me and posting your wonderful words. Sending more hugs and snickers your way. xx

Bitter - you working today? Thanks to you and the last few weeks, WE ARE HAVING ROAST BEFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!

TC - did you get my text thanking you last night?

Mittz - sorry you are still having such and up and down time with life. Oh, and yes, she is lurvely!!

Alice - glad your curry was yummy in your tummy! Grin

No hangover on a Sunday - amazing!!!

Off to have a big fat breakfast now...... back later LIGHTer lovelies.

Anyone weighing in tomorrow?

Alicetheinvisible · 08/08/2010 11:41

Morning Smile

SAF - you have now done plenty, so you can enjoy doing nothing/wallow in poorly self pity/mn etc in peace.

Yay Mouse, well done for not drinking. Just keep thinking of how great mornings are with no hangover to get you through.

Curry was good, but no heartburn from it - amazingly! Also has not sorted out my erm digestive problems so now on rocket fuel cup of coffee number two to help things along a bit. (I know, tmi, but i really am beyond caring now!)

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 08/08/2010 11:49

Hello lovelies. I have had a gallon cup of tea and am feeling more human.

We are off in to town when DD wakes up. DC desparately need clothes and I am sick of my phone - one of the buttons fell off ages ago and I've been meaning to replace it.

My contract ran out about a year ago so I'll see what they can do me for an upgrade.

Mouse Envy @ roast beef. I ordered a chicken on the online shop and I think they sent a pigeon by mistake - it's tiny!

Saf, look after yourself and remember - it is healthy for children to be bored. Wink
