Double - it was very funny.

Right, I have decided that I am sacking off the paperwork. I am not given time to do it at work and quite frankly don't see why I should take work home with me.

Which is why I am about 6 months behind on it. I have a meeting with my Manager tonight about it and I am just going to start from scratch as of this week.

CrispyTheCrisp · 07/08/2010 15:44

Oh yes, the BitterBob will be all the rage Grin. Good call re paperwork, no way should you take it home

DOuble - will do now....... Smile. Lovely BSNN seems to have rather a lot of lovely qualities Wink

Trills, i have 2 children yet cannot answer your Q. I have always said i would like to have felt just one contraction to see what it is like. However anyone who has been through natural birth has always looked at me like Confused, then said, no you don't. So maybe that tells you something Grin

If you had just the one to see what it felt like, and if it's that bad, then presumably that would be a great experience because you would afterwards be so glad that your children took the alternative exit. :)

Trills - wrt to contractions - if you just felt one it would take your breath away, but as they start off mild and build in pain they are easier to deal with.

DS was torture, DD was a piece of cake. I think it helps the second time round that things don't have to stretch as much because you have done it before, IYKWIM.

OP posts:
TrillianAstra · 07/08/2010 16:31

That won't help Alice Bitter - her DD was a sunroof baby (I have also heard 'catflap', not sure which is funniest) so this one will be the first to take the traditional route.

Fingers crossed he just slips out - or as close as can be managed :)

Dig deep, embrace the pain and ROAR Grin re contractions.

DS and his Dad have fallen out... Sad I never know what to do.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 07/08/2010 16:34

Oops, put my foot in it then Trills. Blush

I'm sure Alice will be fine. Only 3 days to go. Smile

Double - fabulous snogging!! You are the best kisser ever. Are you feeling any better?

Bitter - thanks. xx

Crispy - wow! You go girl! I really, really do hope it goes well for you! Smile

Mittz - thanks to you too. And for the goose yesterday! Wink

Well, had my cut - V short! I may take a pic and update/refresh my profile! Shock

Trills - DD was hell, DS was hell. No time for drugs with either. Induced with both, waters broekn with both, put on drip with both, sweeps and gels given too!

Put you off yet? Grin

DS - contractions weren't picked up so MW didn't believe me when I said I needed to push and tutted at me.

Pha!!!! 2 minutes later, hello little baby!!

How about now? Grin

Thank you all for your support. It means so much! I hope you all know this! xx

Mouseface · 07/08/2010 16:46

Sorry Mittz - X posted. Hope DS is ok. DD's dad it being twatish again.

TrillianAstra · 07/08/2010 16:56

Don't even really know what a "sweep" is Mouse. Don't worry, you don't need to tell me. I'm sure I'll find out if/when the time comes.

Mouseface · 07/08/2010 16:58
Grin

It's not the supermarket kind Trills! Wink

mittz · 07/08/2010 17:11

I want a frantic snog Envy.

I am... erm, distracted by my hormones.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 07/08/2010 17:13

I'm off to work - have a lovely evening ladies. Smile

OP posts:
Lizzylou · 07/08/2010 17:15

Alice will be fine if she is on her birthing ball, they are magic, and if she watches her comedy DVDs Smile

Then she get drugs in hospital, sorted. DS2 was a far shorter labour, though not as short as Mouse and Double!

Mittz, I can't imagine you with long hair, it would be a crime to hide those cheekbones, you, Double and Mouse are very lucky to have the faces for short hair Envy

Bitter, I always picture you as having a chin length brunette bob anyway Smile

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 07/08/2010 17:16

I may well have one soon Lizzy. Smile

And Lo, the BitterBob was born! Wink

Alicetheinvisible · 07/08/2010 17:25

Hello mad ones Smile

DD still slightly driving me mad. Went up the races as DH on duty there but quite honestly it was stressful as DD was so tired so we came home. Cbeebies is now on so everything a bit calmer. Some fucker is burning something plasticy smelling and as all my windows are open the house smells

Don't worry about me and contractions, i had plenty last time. I will just say that breaking your leg in four places is nowhere near as painful as contractions are. Apparently because i got as far as 5cms last time it is a good sign and more likely to succeed at my vbac than someone who hasn't laboured at all Hmm we shall see.....

Waiting for DH to finish at the races, then back to put the horses to bed then on to waitrose, curry and beer this evening i think.

Mouse - didn't actually have a tummy upset last night, just felt like i did iyswim.

Mouseface · 07/08/2010 17:48

Alice - Ah, getcha!

Curry, beer, pineapple, raspberry leaf tea, sex, and a warm bath......... you'll be grand! Grin

Lizzy - thanks Blush

Bitter - me too re the thought you had a longish bob already..... Smile

mittz · 07/08/2010 17:53

That sounds like a really good night in actually Mouse.. let alone for a pregnant lady Grin

Alicetheinvisible · 07/08/2010 17:53

I am not doing anything to kickstart it, but fancy a curry (plus have been a bit constipated this last week - sorry, so thought a curry may help with that) When DH and i get a meal for us rather than just cooking a family dinner we tend to spend more time feeling like two adults rather than just two parents iyswim? Bit of a treat.

Sorry Bitter, no chance of a bob here, had one aged about 8, looked like a mushroom.

Mouseface · 07/08/2010 17:59

Sounds fab Alice!

Grin at Mittz.

I may have a drink tonight, or two but in a controlled way not in a I need one like last night....... I fancy a spritzer.

Am I being a dick? Can I control this?

Sorry to ask, ignore me. I'm thinking out loud. Answer if any of you want, if not that's fine too! Smile

Alicetheinvisible · 07/08/2010 18:03

I think it is only a question you can answer Mouse. If you fancy a spritzer but feel you could happily stop after one then that is fine i would think.
