Conservative. 1st time in over 50 years of voting. BUT only candidate with home in constituency, good local MP and openly avowedly GC.

Edited for typo

God the number of racist and idiotic Reform votes. I don’t know how some of you sleep at night.

I voted Reform. I’m not racist or idiotic. Accept others are allowed to have a different opinion without slinging insults.

I voted Reform

Conkersinautumn · 04/07/2024 19:13

I went to the polling station with my eldest for her first time voting.

Reform aren't getting rid of the NHS, and if you read their policies you would know that. They want a French style system. The NHS will still be there free at the point of use for those who need it. The NHS is on its knees and needs an overhaul, its not fit for purpose and we all know it.

Reform want to support families, the revised tax thresholds would certainly help our family, as I am the only earner. They will provide that I can take his tax allowance. I currently earn too much at the moment. My DH has been ill-health retired and no we don't claim benefits. They want to scrap Net Zero - good, its a complete waste of money which will only make us poorer. They want to remove the trans agenda from schools. These are all things I support. So yes I voted Reform and I would do it again. I care about this country and its direction for mine and my children's future.

The two main parties don't deserve my vote.

If you are a woman the Nigel thinks you are inherently lazy, shouldn’t have equal rights, should be at home rather than out working.

its always ok to call out racism and stupidity which is raging through the party you have voted for, as well as the majority of their followers.

The Institute for Fiscal Studies looked at their claims. The spending increase for the NHS wouldn't be enough to meet their goal of eliminating the waiting list. Their cost saving measures wouldn't even come close to the £35billion they say they're going to raise. They won't save £50 billion a year just by getting rid of quangos and "wasteful" departments; there will be big cuts to the quality and quantity of public services.

The tax cuts they're proposing would cost far more than stated, too.

They're full of shit, basically, and you can't trust a word they say. Their policies aren't well thought out or properly costed - they're numbers thrown in, with the hope that their target demographic won't go delving too far into it because they'll be taken in by the promise of fewer rights for minorities and "stopping the boats!!!!"

Spoiled ballot - predicted conservative seat

Dinkading · 04/07/2024 19:16

Everytime I see or hear of the conservatives in any way, the music to 'so long, farewell' pops into my head

Labour - to those spoiling ballot papers, it's such a waste- can't you see if there is an independent who you can support instead - you may save their deposit?

Oh yes of course it's all the nasty media's fault, Reform and their candidates have not done anything at all to make people think badly of them.
