WithACatLikeTread · 04/07/2024 20:23

Nearly 50% have voted Labour. It is very similar to the predictions.

Pipsquiggle · 04/07/2024 20:24

Lib dem. Tactical vote

TheOneWithUnagi · 04/07/2024 20:25

Lib Dem

GingersOwner26 · 04/07/2024 20:26

Labour. My constituency was once described as one where the Tories could send a donkey and it would get in. Supposedly they’re now neck and neck with Labour and it’s too close to call.

Blue565 · 04/07/2024 20:26

Labour - simply to help ensure the Tories lose

ArabellaFishwife · 04/07/2024 20:28

I think at least 3/4 voters in my house voted Labour. 3 declared, one mystery, who would either have voted Labour or Green.

Whu · 04/07/2024 20:28

1.5 hours left.
3.7k votes here - can we make it to 5k by 10pm I wonder.
Impatiently waiting the real exit poll now.

Great idea! I took Dd this morning before school. I’d built it up as being v important (which obviously it is) but she was distinctly underwhelmed it was just putting an x in a box 😂

I did the same, explained the process in simple terms and solemnly went together with 4 year old DS. I actually felt quite emotional watching him put my ballot into the box, he was just a few months old last time so it's his first real experience of democracy in action.

Afterwards on the way to school he asked "Do you think we will win?" I explain that I certainly hope that the person I voted for will win, but we have to wait and see, whoever has the most votes will win. DS's follow up: "and if you get the most votes and win, can I be prime minister too or just you?"

That's right, he thought the X on the paper is as me casually putting myself forward to run the country, as you do on a Thursday school run! So obviously my explanation was no where near as good as I'd given myself credit for haha.

SantesDwynwen · 04/07/2024 20:34

Plaid Cymru

Looking at the results from this poll so far, Seems like a fair reflection of what may happen, I have a sneaky feeling Lib Dems will be the opposition , lots of friends who usually vote Tory couldn't face voting for Farage as protest and went to Lib Dem, more than I ever remember .

Exactly what we have done.

People slagging off Reform voters but they proudly state that they voted Labour… like voting for a party that doesn’t give a fuck about biological women’s rights and women’s safe spaces is something to be proud of?

Absolutely not.

What do you think of Reform wanting to scrap the Equalities Act? Do you think that's would be good for women? Do you know what the consequences would be?

Labour in government with the Libdems in opposition and the right wing marginalised would be great! Can't afford to get my hopes up too much though!

Spaghetti127 · 04/07/2024 20:37

Tactical Labour vote, I normally vote Green.

HaveANiceFuckingDay · 04/07/2024 20:38

Me Reform
DH Tories

TheInvisibleMann · 04/07/2024 20:39

Tactical Lib Dem. Would love to have voted Labour but they have no chance here.

Lovemusic82 · 04/07/2024 20:41

Tactical Lib Dem vote here. I probably would have voted labour but they don’t stand a chance here (conservatives always win).

CalmConfident · 04/07/2024 20:41

bombaybicycle · 04/07/2024 20:12

Tory and Reform are not the only voting options though. And no doubt some Reform party members, who were Tories at the time, were also lauding it up at these parties during Covid...Lee Anderson for one.

i detest him, he’s my poor parents MP. Odious, bigoted bully…and not smart either

Neversaygoodbye · 04/07/2024 20:42

1 Labour, 1 Lib Dem and 1 Green.

We're a new constituency, normally Tory (South East) and hoping we'll finally get change of colour. Would normally vote LD and was torn but got swayed by the fact the labour candidate is the only one who lives here and seems very committed.

PurpleFlower1983 · 04/07/2024 20:42

Labour

HelpMeObiWanKenobi · 04/07/2024 20:45

LABOUR ... we have a very, very safe LABOUR seat where I am in West London.

Bring it on!

Motnight · 04/07/2024 20:47

3 Labour

ThePure · 04/07/2024 20:47

Labour

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 04/07/2024 20:48

Labour. Although God knows why. If I had to put my hand on the Bible I couldn’t say I think things are going to be much better under Labour.
I just can’t take to that Kier Starmer. He doesn’t to have any back bone or spirit. I know this was back in the olden days but during that lock down debate back in March 2020 he had he’s head so far up Boris Johnson’s butt. It was impossible to tell where Kier finishes and Boris starts.
All that said though There’s no way morally I could vote for Tories even if wanted to which I don’t.
However let’s not knock him before he’s had a chance. He may turn out to be the PM ever.
