Tactical Lib Dem vote here. Lib Dem’s predicted to oust incumbent Tory 🤞

Twinstudy · 04/07/2024 20:10

TreadLight · 04/07/2024 19:51

Just voted Reform. Was wavering in the polling booth, but wanted a protest vote and chose Reform as a FU to everyone who called Reform voters names.

This is possibly the worst thing I've read today

IHaveNeverLivedatTheCastle · 04/07/2024 20:10

Tactical Lib Dem to keep the SNP out.

Waffle78 · 04/07/2024 20:10

I voted labour this has given me hope thank you.

TaraTories · 04/07/2024 20:10

If everyone on the thread posting about voting Reform is actually voting Reform on here too, remarkably little change is occurring 🤔

To all those slagging off reform voters, at least they’ve voted for change… I’d rather lunch with reform voter than a fucking torie voter. They were partying during lockdown whilst people were fucking dying and not allowed visitors in hospital. How in the fuck could you vote for them again? Did you feel bad for rishi not having sky tv or what? I don’t fucking get it!!

I usually vote Tory but not this time. Hell will freeze before I vote reform. There were plenty of options for you that don't consist of racist individuals and policies.

How could you vote for them?

No you don’t understand the reasons. And I’m none of those listed under B; I’m a 45 year old woman wanting a better future for my children. My partner works incredibly hard. I’m proud to be British and Reform is my preference. Accept we don’t all have the same opinion.

You're the one that doesn't understand.

How will your children be better off with a bunch of fascists? Some candidates openly admire Oswald Mosley. You claim to be proud to be British but are voting for the exact opposite of what we fought WW2 for.

How will your children manage with no NHS? That's the plan.

Do you have a daughter? How can you support a party leader who is vocal in his support of a rapist?

Reform is a registered company not a political party. He can sack anyone he wants at any time. Its a dictatorship. The polar opposite of democracy and supposedly British values..

Anyone voting reform can't hide behind patriotism. It's a lack of critical thinking skills imo.

Tory and Reform are not the only voting options though. And no doubt some Reform party members, who were Tories at the time, were also lauding it up at these parties during Covid...Lee Anderson for one.

Simonjt · 04/07/2024 20:13

We voted via post, Labour (Meg Hillier).

Redhairandhottubs · 04/07/2024 20:14

Labour

Frosty1000 · 04/07/2024 20:14

Tactical labour vote to oust Tory who's been here for what feels like about 100 years

Probablyfinebutworried · 04/07/2024 20:15

Twinstudy · 04/07/2024 20:07

And this will be paid for how? I'll promise you free houses, no taxes and a unicorn for all. You gonna vote for me?

What do you think your kids' future will be like if we don't hit net zero? Staggered by the myopia.

Lib Dem have been fabulous in local politics and I’d have liked to have voted for them but tactically would have thrown my vote away so voted Labour . Voted Labour all my life until they became tweedle dee to Tory’s tweedle dum but now feel it’s the only way to get change.
Proportional Representation is the only true democratic voting system.

First past the post will ensure Reform get almost no seats. PR is the reason the Greens who got less than 5% of the vote were dictating terms and policy in the shambles which is Holyrood.

Staringatthewalljustmeagain · 04/07/2024 20:15

I had to vote tactically in my Tory stronghold..

Hellskitchen24 · 04/07/2024 20:17

Tactical for Lib Dem to out the Tories. Historically a Labour voter.

Harry1982 · 04/07/2024 20:17

Always voted Labour and even I see rishi is the most balanced tory since cameran, his problem is that the party went so far to the right before he got in power he had no option but to persist. Reform have no idea what they want, they just know they don't want more of the same, I'd stay clear of labels as that just pushes people into corners.

Runsyd · 04/07/2024 20:18

dougalfromthemagicroundabout · 04/07/2024 19:26

Do you not care WHY they might be voting Reform?

I hate the way people just punch down on people who vote differently to how they do without asking why. My experience is usually there are very good reasons.

There's a reason that people are voting for Reform.

The ironic thing is the attitude to the minority group of Reform voters by many on the left is EXACTLY the same as the attitude they claim (usually without evidence) that Reform voters have towards other minorities.

I wouldn't vote Reform but I can understand what is driving people to do it, and to support other right wing parties across Europe.

NotARealWookiie · 04/07/2024 20:18

Lib Dem as a tactical vote

PinkBuffalo · 04/07/2024 20:19

I voted on my way to the gym this evening 👍

Silviasilvertoes · 04/07/2024 20:20

If I’ve voted then refresh the vote page, will it update or does it show it the way it was when I voted? Watching children at the playground while I wear them out so I can do an all nighter, so not fully paying attention.

suicune · 04/07/2024 20:20

People slagging off Reform voters but they proudly state that they voted Labour… like voting for a party that doesn’t give a fuck about biological women’s rights and women’s safe spaces is something to be proud of?

Absolutely not.

Alwaystired94 · 04/07/2024 20:21

iwentjasonwaterfalls · 04/07/2024 18:52

Have you been able to go to the polling station today and place your vote?

You have democracy, and no one on this thread has suggested that democracy should be stripped from anyone.

The dildo of consequences rarely arrives un-lubed, and the consequence of announcing that you vote for Reform is that you are - rightly or wrongly - jumping in bed with the racists and the xenophobes, and will be called out on that.

You're the only one who's mentioned gulags, as far as I can see, though.

thank you for the best comment i’ve ever read on here.

dildo of consequence ahahahahaha

It updates when you refresh, but the numbers aren't changing that much so it might look like it's not. The number of votes cast will change.

Bloom15 · 04/07/2024 20:23

I voted for local independent who does a lot for the local community

ToWhitToWhoo · 04/07/2024 20:23

LibDem: tactical voting, and personal vote for a good MP. In many places, I'd have voted Labour,
