To think the UK will become a barren, post-apocalyptic, dystopian, hell-scape if Labour win?

AIBU to be worried that within 2-3 years of a Labour victory, the UK will become a barren, post-apocalyptic, dystopian hell-scape?

Kier Starmer seems like a mad, leftist radical to me. It starts with VAT on school fees but where does it end???

I’m also really concerned that the imminent collapse of civilisation will have a big impact on house prices, and leave us in negative equity.

Anyone else?

Lots of pp on here invested in feathering their nests paid for by the tax payers and hoping for more from Labour. Nothing to do with wanting the best for the country.

Oh, so the only people on here supporting Labour are benefits claimants? Is that what you are saying?

As for feathering nests, well the irony is off the scale.

I see you, Rishi!

What you describe is pretty much where we’re already at.

Things can only get better 😁

Pal 😂
Well matey dude, in your quick to jump to "everyone who posts lots must be out of work!" did your head forget to take into consideration people who do post on here lots but also work a full working week, full time but shift hours?!
🙄

The only issue is that Labour bankrupted the country by doing so! We didn’t have the money for the disastrous overspend!!!

Hell no, I don’t want to see the country bankrupt again thanks to Labour!

The country was hit by a global financial crisis. Like every other major economy. By the time the Tories took over, the economy had already started recovering.

You are fairly prolific yourself. Over a thousand posts in the couple of months you have been on MN under this user name.

Nope: the economy was in the gutter after labours disastrous policies. Even brown admitted it was one of many mistakes.

That's a big claim.

Let's see your data.

Justleavingthembehind · 25/05/2024 10:34

I’m not concerned and I have been a Tory donor for years and will be paying for a shit ton of school fees. Still lending keir my vote this time. What’s gone is bizarre and in my line of work I have seen it all.

So the global banking crisis didn't happen, or if it did, it didn't affect the UK economy at all? You're comedy gold, but I'm glad you aren't running the economy.

Newsenmum · 25/05/2024 10:35

I think this is a ridiculous post. It’s probable that little will change. If we’re lucky, it’ll be slightly less poverty stricken with reduced crime and a less disgraceful nhs and school system. You do realise that keeping the plebs poor does not result in niceness?

And we all believe you are a Tory donor 🙄🥱

Ah, your mask has slipped.

Maybe some have rich husbands to support them, eh?

FutureFeelsBleak · 25/05/2024 10:37

'All public school kids will be made to swim in the shit-filled sea, while their places are taken by asylum seekers'. It's in Labour's manifesto.

That's the thing - we don't have a Conservative party any more. We have the Destructive party. I'm left leaning, but I'd like nothing better than to have a capable, rational centre right party (preferably in opposition) to hold the government of the day to account. Instead we have a bunch of utter wingnuts - corrupt, incompetent, inconsistent, callous, hopeless. My cousin is a Conservative party member but will be voting for the Independent who is standing in her area - a former Tory who has left the party, a proper One Nation kind of man that I can respect.

I hope you get your party back.

Labour are going to ruin us.

Change the sodding record, there's a love. And it might help if you spent more time reading the Economist and the FT, and less on the Daily Express and the Daily Mail.

Justleavingthembehind · 25/05/2024 10:40

I would say more but it would be quite outing. But it’s not just the MPs who need sacking it’s the party infrastructure. In fact in comparison the MPs are harmless and I know that’s saying something

And what about deputy leaders being charged with tax fraud? Is that okay?
