To think the UK will become a barren, post-apocalyptic, dystopian, hell-scape if Labour win?

AIBU to be worried that within 2-3 years of a Labour victory, the UK will become a barren, post-apocalyptic, dystopian hell-scape?

Kier Starmer seems like a mad, leftist radical to me. It starts with VAT on school fees but where does it end???

I’m also really concerned that the imminent collapse of civilisation will have a big impact on house prices, and leave us in negative equity.

Anyone else?

Aw bored in Labour HQ?

Not surprised.

I fell asleep watching Starmer speak earlier.

Starmer?

Who's he?

Oh yes, I remember now, Mr Flim-flam AKA "the human bollard"

It’s a mixture of both I think, stunning as it is that OP is still getting outraged responses from the slow on the uptake. Makes it all the funnier 😂

I agree, it has been funny to read some of the outraged responses!

Don't fall asleep that's when you are at peak danger of being forcibily vaccinated against conservatism with an untested experimental political movement that contains traces of Corbynism.

I’ve no need to worry. I have a special invisible shield . . It keeps away anybody poorer than me. I’ll be safe.

Given that Keir Starmer hasn't got any opinions on anything and changes his policies like a weather vane in a thunderstorm, I feel that if he gets in we may well be fucked.

Certainly, pervy men will be calling themselves ladies and it will be illegal to say otherwise.

I will be found in the underground resistance.

The offcial term is Captain U-Turn - the Mail tried it out today but I don't think it landed, I like Rishie Sunak the Prime Minature who has a plan ,a cunning plan. Just give him a job.

Boris is reprising Captain Hindsight he obviously hasn't got the memo.

Boris has opined - BORIS JOHNSON enters the election fray and declares: There's no doubt that Keir Starmer would be the most dangerous and Left-wing prime minister since the 1970.

We live in hope.

Gis a job, I can do that

Are you resigned to the dystopia then or is there hope in Tory world as they gayly chant "14 more years ?

It isn’t a dystopia, but labour, or Tory, it won’t improve. It will degenerate badly until there is a significant change which will be dramatic and outside the permitted current Overton window.

I had a surprising shiver of excitement as I realised Labour might have their first ‘female’ Labour PM after all, maybe in the mists of rolling freezing fog billowing from this dramatic dystopian hellscape Keir emerges as Keira !!!

We now bow to our first ever trans PM…. Pink Gin anyone?

So to answer your question, yes, I’m resigned to it playing out. The occupants of No.10 are as much of a spectator as I am, and you are. They can’t change things, and neither can you or I. We just need to survive it.

This is the significant and dramatic change. Members of the worst government of my lifetime are knocking one another down to put their resignation letters in. There will only be about a dozen Tories defending their seats at this rate.

That's the spirit - get's all the woke stuff in slyly I would have upped the diversity angle for Rishi as well as the cabinet in your compare and contrast to expose Labour's hypocrisy.

If you had lived longer you’d see it in more perspective.

theres nothing unusual about this shit show that the next shit show are going to improve upon.

Things are not bad enough yet for dramatic chance to occur.

And yours is also a funny callback to the first joke. Children will be forced to sing about the 31 genders at the start of each school assembly under a staring porteait of Comrade Starmer that has replaced all the expensive portrait of King Charles that were printed up at great expense. Resist !!

Well the King will be the first to go. He'll be packing his bags are hightailing it to mustique because all his property will be seized and redistributed amongst the Islington Massive. Unless they vote for Jeremy Corbyn. Then they can say goodbye to their London Crash pad in Buck House.

The utterly patronising assumption that only young people vote Labour. Nope, @Brumhilda . It's different now

The Tories have essentially lost the adult and the middle aged vote. Quite possibly because that generation are watching their kids being utterly let down.

If you look at the political views of current Labour they are 'right centralist' .. there is no left option.

😂

Briefly, society, the media, the establishment, doesn’t even permit you to think in terms of what would actually and really improve the lives of the people here.

those that live here, work honestly, and pay taxes.

All of that ^^ has totally disappeared.

you’re distracted by the opiates of football, global warming, coronation street etc..

There does however remain so much slack in the system, for instance the NHS still “works” that no one really understands that societal privilege is just the sum of the taxes paid by those in work less a corruption margin. Ie those in “power” aren’t actually doing the job, they’re just stripping the money.

the system exists on the balance plus what is invented or borrowed.

it’s on borrowed time and it won’t end up being pretty.

no one were permitted to vote for will change any of the above. Only total collapse will bring about change.

I’m also worried Labour can’t manage the growing threat of AI. Only this morning my robot hoover gave me what I can only describe as a “funny look”, shortly after BBC Breakfast reported the latest opinion poll. It cowered when Rishi did his speech the other day.
