Having had bloody nightmares in the past (with various phones going all crap on me) would you seriously reccommend an iphone?

DH and I have an iPhone each. The camera is ok, but can be enhanced with some apps. My favourite is ShakeItPhoto, which makes photos into polaroids and somehow makes any photo I take look arty.

£35 per month for an iPhone contract?! We in the US are getting royally ripped off if that is the case! I pay the US equivalent to £115 per month for a two-iPhone contract. AT&T have a monopoly on the iPhone contracts, so it's not as if I could switch to a more reasonable carrier, either.

I do have "unlimited everything". But still.

I think I'm going to be sick.

The only downside for me is the battery life but I hear it's better on the newer one, I have the old 3G not the 'S' model.
Looking forward to the new one coming out this summer!!!

An I-phone - I wish!

DH has just bought himself his firs mobile phone in 10 years and is rejoicing as it was £7 with a £10 on it - the kids (and I) are disgusted

What's bad about the iPhone? There isn't a Mumsnet App..... Let's hope that's sorted soon.

Strix · 01/01/2010 19:43

The sound quality and reception are both crap. Basically the iphone is an ipod with a phone tacked onto it. The ipod functionality is good. The phone is not.

Nyx · 01/01/2010 22:46

I've never noticed a problem with sound quality or reception; I'm in Glasgow though, I don't know what it's like out in the sticks. 02 coverage seems to be not bad, although not great in the western isles, where my mum is and we go on holiday.
