DD inconsolable

Dd hasn't come out of school yet but she has an email from Lancaster (her insurance) to say she's in. I know it's good, and it could have been so much worse but I'm a bit gutted for her that she obviously hasn't met her offer for Birmingham.

Lancaster will be great though. She'll love it.

I hope she's okay.

Ds has got his firm-Bristol! (Economics & Politics)
No idea re his grades.

DS got into his first choice - Surrey for Sports Science.
Very relieved. But I don't understand his results page for the btecs. So we're not sure how he did. But I guess that doesn't matter now.
Just waiting for dd2's As results now.

I’m so sorry for those not quite getting the results they needed. There are a lot of good courses out there, although the bl**dy search function is sh1t on ucas. Don’t panic, deep breaths. The student room also has some good help on there.

Update! To our amazement DS has got his insurance despite not achieving the required grades.

I may throw up with relief!

He genuinely thought he got an A in biology but only got a C.

Dd dropped a grade on Music and is into her insurance Cardiff (two below predicted grades) she is devastated.

Doesn't want to consider Cardiff due to a BF.

I'm so glad someone here told us how flexible Cardiff are, so despite higher requirements she is in. Now to convince her it's a good idea. I know it is great for Music but she is so upset with her grade.

DS’s results are in - ABC (PE, Biology & Chem) better than we could have hoped for.

I’m a sobbing mess.

DSis is working on clearing lines at Newcastle Uni - I know they can speak to parents (if student gives their permission) - not sure if this helps anyone.

She is insistent on calling Southampton, but they were quite clear they won't accept less than a B in open day talks 😥

Mine got BBD so smashed his EE offer and his predictions.

DD's results much lower than expected. A bit of a shock really. She has U/C to Portsmouth Thank God. Really not sure what happened.
