Ursula in these circumstances I'm under the impression that no news is good news. 6 months does seem rather a long time though.

UrsulaPandress · 18/05/2019 15:30

That’s the way my mind works.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 18/05/2019 15:52

Stamping your foot is a perfectly good response TheFirst. I hope you get some answers quickly.

Ursula, is it worth a gentle prod of the consultants secretary just so you can stop wondering about it?

When I last saw the GP she said she had no response to her enquiry so suggested I contact them myself.

I’ll get round to it ...

marmiteloversunite · 18/05/2019 17:23

Oh no Ursula that's rubbish. I'm sorry. Waiting for results is the worst thing in the world. Sending you good vibes!!

UrsulaPandress · 18/05/2019 19:26

Every NHS letter sends my stomach into boots. Well it would if it wasn’t for my hernia which means half of it is in my diaphragm. 😜

TapasForTwo · 19/05/2019 16:40

The wait for results is awful. We have been through this with OH and DD. It's the not knowing that makes it so stressful.

Currently watching Eurovision with DD and one of her friends. They were out last night so I recorded it. We have managed to stay away from any results or spoilers so don't know yet who won. At least we can fast forward through the boring bits.

Madonna is making a pig's ear of her singing right now. Her singing is embarrassingly flat. She should have quit while she was ahead.

UrsulaPandress · 19/05/2019 21:30

We watched last night. Madonna was an absolute car crash.

marmiteloversunite · 21/05/2019 21:10

Had my oncology appointment today. All good. Have to go back in a year for a check up. Yay!!

Yearly mammograms too.
Fingers crossed it stays away !!

Thank you for all of your support. It's been a very long year! X

Enjoy the sunshine today Marmite Smile

It has been stressful here this week. All three children are chugging along, there is no particular trigger situation, but each child is needing some sort of input and intervention. Ds1 infuriates me by needing to be kicked out of bed every morning and now possibly could have symptoms of diabetes, but is refusing to organise his own dr appt, when of course you need to get up at 8.30 to ring the surgery.. It is probably just lethargy but still. Dd is fixating about next year Year 13, but still refuses to acknowledge the need for drawing things or research in her Art ish subject. ds2 has suddently decided he needs to go to more parties but cannot find any to go to.

Dog walk is funnest bit of the day atm..tbh..

And Donner und Blitzen...there are TOO MANY BOOKS IN thIS HOUSE and no-one reads any of them..so doubly frustrating Dh needs them for his business but I feel a bit hemmed in. .

UrsulaPandress · 22/05/2019 14:33

DD has an exam tomorrow afternoon but is then coming home to vote! I am secretly proud of her, but she could have organised herself a postal vote as I kept suggesting, or a proxy vote - although she did say she wouldn't trust me to vote the way she wanted.

I suppose doing 25% Politics has focussed her mind.

TheFirstOHN · 22/05/2019 17:52

DS1 also has an exam (his only one) tomorrow and got the coach back up there today; he'll be coming back on Friday. He has been stressy and grumpy for the last couple of days, so I was a bit relieved to see him go.

He has always been interested and involved in politics (volunteered as a teller before he was old enough to vote) but is also still quite disorganised (although has improved somewhat). At one point I saw him faffing about trying to organise a postal or proxy vote, but not sure if he managed to put things in place.

I got the date for my scope and biopsy. It's next week, on the same afternoon as my husband's (long planned) minor surgery.

TapasForTwo · 22/05/2019 18:03

Good luck to all of you TheFirst Flowers

UrsulaPandress · 22/05/2019 18:03

Best of luck with that.

marmiteloversunite · 22/05/2019 18:12

Good luck the first!

Always the way that things happen at the same time!
