Just noticed we were running out of thread!

It's annoying because they aren't "clear" they are borderline PCOS. It's annoying because she has suffered for a long time and she just wants answers as it is affecting her school work

Trufflethewuffle · 07/06/2017 13:08

DS3 has finished now after yesterday's Biology. He said he was glad of the extra time and that several friends without extra time struggled to finish it. He is off mucking about with friends for the next couple of days.

DS1 and DS2 had S1 this morning. DS2 just has one more politics paper, tomorrow, then he is done. DS1 then has four A2 papers over the next couple of weeks.

DD is just about to start her year 10 exams. We are looking forward to when it is all finished.

PandaG · 07/06/2017 15:23

What a mix of emotions on this thread. A killing really puts all the exam stress into perspective.
S1 here this morning for DS, 4 more to go!

Fantastic news shanghai and user

second - how utterly awful.

It makes my update less shocking - DD was assaulted by another student. Not on college premises (but straight after college), so not sure how seriously the college will take it. We've reported it to the police though. I just can't believe it - DD did so well with her BTEC results despite going through so many MH problems and now she's scared to go back to college Sad

OhYouBadBadKitten · 07/06/2017 20:07

what? Chocolate, that's awful! your poor dd. Good for you for reporting it. I'm sorry that happened to her.

chocolate that's awful! Your poor DD. I hope college and the police deal with it properly so she feels safe to go back to college.

TheSecondOfHerName · 07/06/2017 20:35

Chocolate your poor DD. How is she now?

UrsulaPandress · 07/06/2017 20:36

Choc. Your poor DD. Any reason why?

chocolateworshipper · 07/06/2017 20:39

Thank you. She is physically ok. She was obviously very shaken and upset, but a bunch of friends turned up at our house, so she's much better now. Not sure how she'll be going back into college.

She's had a row with this girl about boys and the usual social media nonsense, but nothing that justified being physically assaulted.

TheSecondOfHerName · 07/06/2017 20:41

I'm glad she's got supportive friends (and you) behind her. I hope the college is also supportive.

UrsulaPandress · 07/06/2017 20:42

Heard tonight about a bit of pushing and shoving at the farm by a 40 odd year old bloke and a 25 year old female. What is the world coming to

Good that her friends have rallied down choc.

I frequently have DD in tears over what 'friends' have said on social media.

FantasyAndHope · 07/06/2017 21:32

choc
Omg!Shock that's shocking and your poor dd must be feeling shook up

HesMyLobster · 07/06/2017 21:37

Oh Chocolate your poor dd. It absolutely should be taken seriously by the college and the police. Glad she's got a good bunch of friends around her, I really hope she isn't seriously hurt and will feel safe going back Flowers

NoHaudinMaWheest · 07/06/2017 22:09

choc so sorry to hear about dd. I hope that she gets her confidence back quickly.

Littledrummergirl · 07/06/2017 23:12

Bliley, I came on to ask how c2 went today (ds1 thought it went well) but hearing the news from you all makes it seem not so important.
I wish we could make the world a better place for our dc.
Chocolate hugs to your Dd, remind her of how amazing she is.

Hopefully everyone will have a better week.

chocolateworshipper · 08/06/2017 08:06

Thank you all so much for the support - it means a lot.

Best of luck to all of your DCs doing exams. Am thankful that DD doesn't have any.

Icouldbeknitting · 08/06/2017 09:29

Chocolate I hope everything is resolved quickly. The end of term is not so far away now which gives a natural break for everything to cool off.

Hope your dd recovers choc
Dd has been to vote, told her welcome to the adult world

PandaG · 08/06/2017 20:56

Oh rubbish chocolate. Hope she is feeling a bit brighter today, and her friends are supporting her.

DS fairly chilled about today's exam. He is cross he has one tomorrow as that scuppers him pulling an all nighter with us tonight. He is far more politically aware than I was at 17.

NoHaudinMaWheest · 08/06/2017 22:20

DD got the time of her exam wrong today. She thought it was at 2 so we were sitting in a cafe having lunch when we got a phone call from school asking where she was as the exams started at 1.
Fortunately we were only a few minutes away from school and she had everything she needed with her. She was pretty upset though but staff managed to calm her down and she said the exam (physics) wasn't too bad in the end.
No exams tomorrow so she will be up for as long as she can cope with. She is extremely frustrated that she hasn't been old enough to vote either in the referendum or this time.

Littledrummergirl · 08/06/2017 23:18

Ds1 not happy he is too young to vote. He plans to stay up to watch until midnight but he has school tomorrow so will need to go to sleep.
It's good youngsters getting involved.

TheSecondOfHerName · 09/06/2017 00:05

DS1 did not feel that the Politics AS paper went well. Perhaps it might have gone better if he had spent the day before the exam revising rather than going to see Jeremy Corbyn and getting him to sign his textbook.

TheDrsDocMartens · 09/06/2017 00:44

Like the signing of textbook though Smile good thinking (hope he doesn't have to hand it in!)
