I'm so into doing a seventies Christmas this year. Cheese and pineapple hedgehog obviously, prawn cocktails, advocaat. What would be on your seventies Christmas menu?

Yes, that's the one. It had a weird taste but we never had squash so it was a big treat!

Deathmatch Monopoly that went on for hours, stayed on the dining room table for days and any one who went in was followed to make sure they weren't nicking money.

For the evening buffet, we always had tinned sardines on fingers of toast, cheese and pineapple or cheese and silver skin onions on sticks, sausage rolls, cocktail sausages, turkey and stuffing sandwiches, coleslaw, pickled onions, gherkins and red cabbage. Oh and scotch eggs, cheese straws (poor vegetarians), and a hot smoked sausage. Everything else was cold, except the sausage rolls. And the pudding was trifle (with tinned fruit, jelly, and lots of Sherry) mince pies or Christmas cake.
