My auntie used to feed me this all the time after reading whats in it I would never give it to ds but at the deli counter 4 people in front of me bought it!
So who on here gets it?

I get my chorizo from Selfridges, does that still count as processed if it is sold by women with helmet hair?

SlartyBartFast · 22/05/2008 21:40

i used to stick sausages in mash upright [grin[
they did like that

morningpaper · 22/05/2008 21:41

Processed meat is processed meat

I worry more about their palates really, it's like eating warm much

or

Quorn

morningpaper · 22/05/2008 21:41

WARM MUSH

bonkerz · 22/05/2008 21:41

WWB you rock! Well done for finding something your DD likes. My own DCs love this meat and i occasionally buy it. I do however feed them luncheon meat which as far as i am concerned is billy meat without the face. JUDGE AWAY. My DCs also had macdonalds last night and DD had a fruit shooit at the shops today!

ButterflyBessie · 22/05/2008 21:41

lol, I don't have a life, I come on here and it is still fucking shite

mean but true

morningpaper · 22/05/2008 21:41

lol @ Billy Meat Without The Face

so funny

WallOfSilence · 22/05/2008 21:42

I made a fruit salad into a smiley face once... then I watched dd turn all the orange segments the other way to make a sad face & not a happy one!!

morningpaper · 22/05/2008 21:42

I love chorizo so much

I don't look at the ingredients

I eat fruit afterwards and wash it down with proper coffee

It's like eating a massive erection

Who could say no? (Not me obviously)

chipmonkey · 22/05/2008 21:43

I sent ages making an omelette in the form of a cat's face!
ds1 said "I doe likit"

southeastastra · 22/05/2008 21:44

lol mp what's in a chorizo?

WallOfSilence · 22/05/2008 21:45

Totally with you on the quorn front. If veggies want to eat something that looks like meat, why not go the whole hog? phew!

chipmonkey · 22/05/2008 21:45

WallofSilence, would you describe your dd as a pessimist, perhaps?

madamez · 22/05/2008 21:47

It wouldn't occur to me to buy it as I really don't like lunchmeats/spam/corned beef so wouldn't inflict them on DS, though we do have mattesons ham sometimes which isn't much better. Mind you, I also buy Princes 99p fishfingers now and again when the shop hasn't got any good ones. It's food (well, technically) not nuclear waste and as long as DC have a varied diet they won't come to much harm.

morningpaper · 22/05/2008 21:48

I don't GET Quorn

It's like nibbling on a fat white lady's thigh

Goodness know WHAT is in a chorizo but it's BAD I'm quite sure

WallOfSilence · 22/05/2008 21:49

I just said I doe likit out loud & had a snigger... Cutie!

edam · 22/05/2008 21:49

Blimey, that would give ds nightmares. Billy Bear is the class bear who comes home at the weekends so you can fill a diary with tedious entertaining tales of all the exciting things you do with your parents.

Give WWB a break, it's only ham. Sheesh food is so fetishised these days. Like everyone's competing to show how much they care about their children.

Clairef29 · 22/05/2008 21:49

Yes wafer thin has been processed southeast but nowhere near as much as billy bear, luncheon meat etc. It doesn't fall under the 'mechanically recovered meat' category which is definitely a good thing. anyone who watched Jamie Olivers programme as part of channel 4s 'the big food fight' will know exactly what I mean [horror emoticon]!! It really wasn't pretty!!!

morningpaper · 22/05/2008 21:50

lol at slicing up Hometime Ted

WallOfSilence · 22/05/2008 21:50

I always thought Chorizo was only invented to be picked off a pizza.

edam · 22/05/2008 21:50

Agree about quorn, btw, very strange stuff. (I'm a veggie.)

MrsCarrot · 22/05/2008 21:51

lol I laughed at doe likit too

All vegi replacements are weird though aren't they, quorn and that rectangular vegi bacon. Billy bear does look like one of those.

Am with MP on the chorizo, they're delicious and big and well, a bit filthy. Mmmm.

morningpaper · 22/05/2008 21:51

Lots of people buy/eat Bernard Matthew's chicken/ham/turkey products - that is pretty much just the same

TheFallenMadonna · 22/05/2008 21:52

The veggie bacon smells like Frazzles. Which seems wrong for something not crunchy somehow.

morningpaper · 22/05/2008 21:53

lol @ a bit filthy

I once stayed in a Roman Catholic seminary in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains... and at breakfast, all the seminarians would take HUGE pleasure in placing the communal chorizo at a filthy angle on the plate before passing it to the next boy.

I learnt much about hard sausages from young priests.
