Angel Delight
Spam (DM used to make spam fritters, it was the 60s, in her defence)

rosydreams · 20/09/2023 15:12

Horrible isn't it!!!

I was raised by my grandparents. They ate it weekly

Cremola Foam! Most of the 70's processed crap that would give the Zoë crew a breakdown. Crispy pancakes, Vesta curries, pot noodles, dream topping, its endless

FiloPasty · 20/09/2023 15:24

Microwave chips and crispy pancakes and brains faggots!

TheGhostofLoganRoy · 20/09/2023 15:34

Primula squeezed into mouth straight from tube.

Mild cheddar on white bread.

Pepperami.

Colinswheels · 20/09/2023 15:37

Same to primula, I also used to squeeze a line of it onto my hand and lick it off - the shame! Had to be the ham one though.

Willowview · 20/09/2023 15:41

Ha ha loving the replies,

Bernard Matthews turkey burgers and turkey roast, powdered orange squash.

Still love ice cups, lil choccies in tiny foil cases.

changedusername190 · 20/09/2023 15:41

salami had it and was sick can't even look at it now

FizzingAda · 20/09/2023 16:20

Angel delight. Loved the butterscotch one.

PaulaZackMayo · 20/09/2023 16:22

Cake mix out of the mixing bowl (Grandma's)

I don't mind a pot noodle

Hazel444 · 20/09/2023 16:23

Cherryade was my absolute favourite drink growing up (was only allowed it on special occasions though). I tried some again a few years, it was revolting
Sara Lee frozen desserts - another special treat but I have more sophisticated tastes these days!

LittleJuanBurritos · 20/09/2023 16:26

My username! Used to microwave in their opened plastic wrapper for one minute, then extract and unwrap to add more cheese before sliding it back in to microwave again for another minute. Can’t imagine how unhealthy that must have been.

MetaMette · 20/09/2023 16:29

Powdered orange juice (apeel) - it was a special Sunday treat in our house

DarkDarkNight · 20/09/2023 16:30

I used to make ketchup sandwiches on white bread with butter. I couldn’t bring myself to eat it for anything now.

Beef paste sandwiches were another delicacy 😂

TheIsleOfTheLost · 20/09/2023 16:34

Sugar puffs with extra sugar and a juice on the side. Ate nothing but coco pops for breakfast for about 3 years in my teens. How I never got diabetes is a mystery.

Threesmycrowd · 20/09/2023 16:34

Billy bear ham!

AllProperTeaIsTheft · 20/09/2023 16:36

Nothing I can think of tbh! DM was a pretty decent cook. We didn't eat that much heavily processed stuff. I always hated Angel Delight!

Caspianberg · 20/09/2023 16:39

Corned beef sandwiches 🤢

gogomoto · 20/09/2023 16:39

Nothing I can think of, I eat pretty much anything now bar a few lifelong (and odd) hates like raw tomatoes. It's was pretty much meat and 2 veg growing up, not much processed food.

billysboy · 20/09/2023 16:42

Another one for cherryade and I would add baked beans with sausages in a tin

Xmasbaby11 · 20/09/2023 16:45

As PP, a lot of processed stuff from the 80s like Angel Delight and very sweet/fake things I considered treats!

Also v bland family dinners like pork chops with boiled veg and mash. So dry. Just used to adding flavour and some kind of sauce now.

barbarahunter · 20/09/2023 16:48

tongue
Vesta chow mein
tinned steak and kidney pudding
frozen burgers (after they had been cooked, of course)
