Campbell's meatballs in a can. I'm not even sure you can get them anymore, there was a definite hint of dog food about them.

Biscuits. Lemon puffs,pink wafer,and sugar. The other things I didn't like, but in the 50s you ate what was put in front of you.

Crispy pancakes, favourite as a child. Tried one a few years ago, horrible!

Oxtail soup. Heinz of course!😐

Fish in a bag ! That was a ' treat ' when you were poorly in our house , can see it now - the grey rectangle of fish covered in a dubious sauce . 🤢

I used to cook up a tin of creamed corn, add loads of butter and salt and eat it on toast.

I grew up in London and my Nan used to take me for pie mash & liquor every Saturday.. Had it for the first time in years last week and still delicious.

Despite being a child in the 70s we had very little food that wasn't homemade so I can't think of anything I wouldn't eat today.

I still like butterscotch Angel delight!
