Your favourite Greek (or Greek style yogurt)

I used to have Fage 0% but I find it too sour so tried Yeo Valley Greek style which is better more creamy. But I'm still on the hunt for the best creamy yogurt full of good bacteria not really full fat as I dislike the taste but without that tangy aftertaste.

I add honey to mine but I'd love to be able to eat it straight.

Any recommendations?

We buy the Aldi one, I think it's lovely.

It is full fat, but Tim’s Greek Style Kefir (I get it in Sainsburys or Ocado) is the best IMO.

ToastCosILoveIt · 22/03/2023 19:13

The Waitrose Greek yogurt is really lovely.

Make my own although m&S 10% authentic greek yoghurt is my favourite

lurchermummy · 22/03/2023 19:28

The Collective or Rachel’s set Greek yoghurt is really nice.

Another vote for Aldi.

I buy this from tescos £2.85 for a kilo tub.
its very thick so i split one tub into 3 portions and add about a quarter of a pint of milk to each tub .
As a added bonus the tubs have a good resealable lid which means the tub can be reused .
I batch cook and put the cooked food in them label them and put them in the fridge / freezer

The Lidl full fat one. The best I've bought in any UK supermarket by far.

Kranke · 22/03/2023 19:38

Aldi here too. Really thick and creamy.

TheRookie · 22/03/2023 20:07

Lidl authentic greek is good, or Aldi 10% brooklea one

Toms dairy

ScandiNoirNuit · 22/03/2023 20:11

Tim’s is my favourite, esp the honey one.

I can't find a single live yoghurt in my Aldi. Not one of them with beneficial bacteria, which is disappointing.

BestIsWest · 22/03/2023 20:13

Morrison’s The Best is my favourite. Lovely.

if its yoghurt its live
unless its some long life nonsense, the yoghurt is live and will have beneficial bacteria

Absolutely agree with this ☝️, it’s Lancashire Farm. Very creamy and delicious.

AnnaMagnani · 22/03/2023 20:18

Fage 2% is way better than the 0% plus you feel better about eating it than the 5%.

Once you have had Fage it's hard to go back to Lidl, which previously I loved.

googleyourheartout · 22/03/2023 20:20

Another vote for lidl full fat Greek yoghurt. Its delicious.

Same here. Better than the aldi one!

OddBoots · 22/03/2023 20:22

Another vote for Lancashire Farm, it is soooo thick and lovely.

saraclara · 22/03/2023 20:22

Greek and Greek style are entirely different products. If you find Fage too sour, then any strained Greek yoghurt is going to be similar.

I'm very happy with the Tesco and Waitrose Greek Yoghurts, but you probably won't be.

ClassicLib · 22/03/2023 20:24

Another vote for Lidl. It’s yummy.

Eranzer · 22/03/2023 20:29

Lancashire Farm. Nothing else comes close.
