Your favourite Greek (or Greek style yogurt)

I used to have Fage 0% but I find it too sour so tried Yeo Valley Greek style which is better more creamy. But I'm still on the hunt for the best creamy yogurt full of good bacteria not really full fat as I dislike the taste but without that tangy aftertaste.

I add honey to mine but I'd love to be able to eat it straight.

Any recommendations?

Marks 10% fat. Absolutely delicious.

There's nowhere near me that sell the Lancashire farm, looks lovely! Will give Tim's a go next.

Lidl authentic greek yogurt is really lovely

Came on here to say this - I got 500g at the weekend, thinking it would last the week and it was gone by Monday...!! absolutely delicious.

Another vote for M&S 10% live Greek yogurt -

toastofthetown · 22/03/2023 20:49

DH loves the Lidl 10% Greek yogurt and prefers it to every other greek yogurt including Fage. I find all Greek yogurts a bit too thick and creamy to have much of an opinion, but my favourite natural yogurt is Yeo Valley in the green pot. If find it the least tangy of the natural yogurts I've tried. I can't stand any Greek style yogurt. Kefir is better than yogurt in terms of microbes though.

Lidl 10% Greek yoghurt, I have tried many in search of a fage replacement and definitely the best. Full fat also probably nice but they never sell it in my local and actually the 10% is still pretty thick and creamy.

I buy this from tescos £2.85 for a kilo tub.
its very thick so i split one tub into 3 portions and add about a quarter of a pint of milk to each tub .
As a added bonus the tubs have a good resealable lid which means the tub can be reused .
I batch cook and put the cooked food in them label them and put them in the fridge / freezer

Another vote for this one. It’s amazing, similar to the delicious yogurts I used to buy in Turkey.

PoshCoffee · 22/03/2023 20:51

Longley Farm also do a delicious one but might be regional like Lancashire Farms.

Anjelika · 22/03/2023 20:55

Lidl one in the dark blue and white tub. Eat it every day.

womblequack · 22/03/2023 20:58

I really love the kvarg pots. No idea if they are Greek or Greek style but they are sooo thick and delicious

Inkblue · 22/03/2023 21:04

Collective Straight Up Greek yoghurt was on offer in Waitrose today. It is lovely.

SpringIntoChaos · 22/03/2023 21:26

Yet another vote for Lidl 'Milbona' Greek yoghurt. I've honestly tried so many...but this is far and away my favourite 😍

Rapapampam · 22/03/2023 21:38

Fage 10% fat.

Random789 · 22/03/2023 21:41

All of the actual greek yoghurts are lovely. 'Greek style' yoghurts can do one. Zero-fat greek or greek-style yoghurts should be shot at dawn.

cocksstrideintheevening · 22/03/2023 21:43

You've gone wrong with the 0% get the fage 5% or Waitrose ni 1

Helenloveslee4eva · 22/03/2023 21:45

Aldi full fat Greek

SaturdayGiraffe · 22/03/2023 21:57

Kri Kri - it also lasts longer

BitOutOfPractice · 22/03/2023 21:58

I agree.

The Lidl full fat one is a favourite here.

topofbighill · 23/03/2023 21:56

Definitely Lidl.

JustFuckOffPlease · 23/03/2023 21:59

The Tesco finest full fat Greek yoghurt in the round tub blows everything else out of the water. Creamier and smoother without the tangy aftertaste and f all other ones I've tried.

LOVE it.

JustFuckOffPlease · 23/03/2023 22:00

*of all the other ones

OnMyWayToSenility · 23/03/2023 22:03

Fage 5% I just don't understand Greek yogurt is full fat! Nothing less
Other wise it's just yogurt with no fat

It’s the fat content that gives food flavour. Fat is flavour.
