John Major's chicken recipe

Long shot.

In the early 90's a magazine, possibly Good Housekeeping, published an article where the leaders of the 3 main political parties of the time, provided them with a recipe. John Major (con) provided a Chicken dish which was chicken fillets with a Tabasco heavy sauce. John Smith (lab) was a salmon thing, and I cant remember what Paddy Ashdown (Lib) was.

Anyhoo, the John Major recipe was brilliant, and I've never replicated it. It would have been published at some point between summer 92 and spring 94, as that was the period where John Smith was both alive, and the leader of the Labour Party.

Anyone got the John Major recipe? If so, please take a photo and post it.

Cost saving tips: Don't buy a cookery book, go to the shop and a picture of the recipe on your phone instead. Create a Haybox using a cardboard box and old newspapers.
And Cookery tips. However he doesn't wash his hands so the place must be cross contamination central.

Actually very, very randomly my husband met John Major when he was 11 to interview him for some school news paper competition thing and he gave them a recipie for Mexican chicken, we still have it and cook it occasionally as a bit of a joke..bet its the same one will see if can find it!

I make a fabulous jambalaya and reckon I slosh in at least two tablespoons of Tabasco for four people and it does little more than give it a slight kick.

Wasn’t it John Major who advised putting the vinegar on chips first so it wouldn’t wash the salt off? The man is a culinary genius.
