OK now that I have permission from Lou and in order to preserve the good MNers from MM's charlatan WW recipe I am ready to spil the beans

Only it will have to come in installments, I have to take the kids to sign up with the HV so watch this space.

woodpops · 17/11/2004 14:02

Unfortuently I suffer from asthma, dermititis and hayfever so it would mean ds and dd are a little more prone to allergies. That's why I'm so careful.

lou33 · 17/11/2004 18:29

I thought you had lovely feet actually.

princessinapeartree · 06/12/2004 22:35

And a BIG THANK YOU from me as I have just made these for a friend who has just become a mum again (now has a beautiful ds aswell as her dd) :) Forget more rattles and baby clothes that she already has, a 'SuzyWong treat' was on order! :o

Yumm.. the family loved this recipe so much at my son's Christening they've asked me to make some for Christmas. However, my mum needs a low cholesterol version and my brother needs a gluten free version! I have searched the web but haven't found much. Most require ingredients I don't have in.

Does anyone know what the flour to gluten-free flour proportions should be?

The second batch I'd like to make low cholesterol - I was thinking of replacing the eggs with just egg whites, but not sure what to replace the fat with.. any ideas?

So I'm after two versions of this lovverrly recipe - a gluten free and a low-chol version. TIA

karen99 · 22/12/2004 20:29

any ideas?

pupuce · 09/01/2005 13:44

Just made it.... GORGEOUS...... with black and green 70% chocolate and cocoa powder (organic too)..... VERY dark ! Yummy!

csa · 01/03/2005 13:29

just made this over the weekend and they were yummy! thanks suzy! question 1. when they are still gooey in the middle - is the egg fullycooked or not? question 2. has anyone tried doing this recipe in small individual muffin cases? wondering about the timing if you did this - thought it may be a good idea for comic relief fundraising thing for ds nursery. any ideas anyone?

suzywong · 01/03/2005 13:32

glad you liked them

well, yes the egg is cooked sufficiently for old folk and kids, it is doing it's chemical stuff and has therefore ceased to be raw

You know I don't think it would work in individual cases, I think it needs a density and mass to do it's magic, I think they would be too easy to burn, but that's just IMO, you could give it a try.

I've got a mix of seeds/nuts with walnuts in, and I don't like walnuts on their own. So I've been picking them out and putting them in a separate bag.

So now I have an excuse to make Suzywong's Brownies again, don't I?

This is justifiable isn't it?!

spacedonkey · 01/03/2005 13:36

the wong and winding roooooad ...

suzywong · 01/03/2005 13:37

oh god yes roisin!

csa · 01/03/2005 14:14

are you sure you have not added an "extra special" ingredient in your brownies, spacedonkey?

Aero · 01/03/2005 14:21

Have just put a batch in the oven - will be ready to take out before the school run, then hopefully ready to try upon our return..........watch this space.

Cadbury · 01/03/2005 14:26

I'll be over in time for them to be just cool enough to eat

Aero · 01/03/2005 14:27

now Cadders - I know what's already in your fridge.........but if you're good, I'll save you one!

Aero · 01/03/2005 14:33

They're out of the oven Cadders - might just have to leave the kids at school!

suzywong · 01/03/2005 14:34
