We had Steak pie from local butcher (links on the side) with roasties, pigs in blankets (any excuse!) & marrowfat peas. Yum!
Also curry & rice with various accompaniment for the less traditional of us. Was all delicious 😋

Steak pie yesterday was amazing, homemade with beef links done for 10 hours in the slow cooker and then put in my grannies 60 year old pie ashet and topped with bells puff pastry! Canny beat it! The beef links give it so much more flavour!

Luckily I froze the filling as Dd isn't coming today, the weather is pish so she's staying in the warmth.

Had to make a special trip home (parents) for ours as butchers round here just whack sausages in a steak pie and think that's how you make a steak and sausage pie.

The secret is to put sausage spices through the gravy as well. The butcher at home knows this.

What are links? Is the steak - mince ?

@LesLavandes links are sausages and the steak is cubed pieces of meat
