HUGE fairy/ cup cake

Would like to make one for dd's 1st birthday , do you think I would be able to get hold of a HUGE paper cup for the base IFYWIM !!!?????or would it be best to make it myself out of baking paper ?? & any ideas on the base to cook it in ?? Want to make it look quite authentically like an old fashioned cup cake. Would also like to make tiny mini ones to sit beside it and give to all the kiddies after, can you get mini paper bases?? oooh and some sugar icing wrapped parcels any ideas ???

The party was lovely but dd was poorly , we thought she was better for a bit , but declined by the end . But when shes older we can show her what a lovely party she had ,( as wobbly just said to me)

Melsy - hadnt seen this thread before - You're cake is FANTASTIC!!!!! Did you really do it all by yourself? YOUre DD must have loved it!!

Dh helped me with the last batch of mix as I was sooooooo tired friday morn , was up til 12 thursday doing the icing when the made the one before collapse and crumble !!!.Then I was up half night with porrly dd being sick. But I did all of the decorating , each parcel was made from cut choc chip sponge and warpped individually .

The little ones were nice if not a bit CRISPY LOL , but the main cake hasnt even been cut ,, was worried it was rock hard as the fairy cakes were !!! so didnt dare let anyone eat it !!!

may be for tea later , I dont want to cut it !!!!!!! just want it to stay as it is !!!
