All sorts.

Prick with a fork curries, rice, sweet potato and red onion bahjis and baby spinach for me and dh.

Salmon fishcakes (from the freezer) and oven chips for ds2.

Meatballs, pasta and spinach in a jarred tomato sauce for ds1. Doughballs, too.

The boys are both having shop bought rhubarb crumble with cream for pud. Ds1is a teenager so will be hungry again in approximately 3 minutes.

I always find that posters describe their meals in the most invitingly descriptive ways. It's like an M&S advert coming on these threads, always makes my mouth water.

gallicgirl · 07/06/2017 19:11

I'm currently slaughtering Jamie Oliver's classic ratatouille recipe. Damn thing isn't reducing down and going sweet and sticky.

So I'll be having soggy veg stew with sausages.

HeyMicky · 07/06/2017 19:13

Chicken breast studded with cream cheese and pesto, fried mushrooms and creamed garlic spinach.

DH doesn't eat most of that but he is away and I can't wait

gallicgirl · 07/06/2017 19:28

IT'S TURNING INTO SOUP!!!

Angry

Fuck you, Jamie.

witchofzog · 07/06/2017 19:30

Jacket potato with cheese n coleslaw with a salad containing egg n advocado. Lots of good fats and lots of bad fats too, but I am due on and am famished!

HopeYourCakeIsShit · 07/06/2017 19:31

I'm so sorry it's not going well for you gallicgirl but you haven't half made me laugh Grin

gallicgirl · 07/06/2017 19:34

Hah! I'm going to get the kids into bed then pour a glass of wine. It'll probably taste ok then.

PotteringAlong · 07/06/2017 19:36

Freezer lottery! 5 random Tupperware boxes, take your pick!

Lynnm63 · 07/06/2017 19:38

BBQ Spare ribs, corn on the cob, chips and coleslaw. It's a family favourite. I make a mean BBQ sauce even if I say so myself.

witchofzog · 07/06/2017 19:44

heymickey You win. Can I come for tea please?

SprinkleOfInsanity · 07/06/2017 19:51

We had chicken breasts stuffed with garlic & herb philly and wrapped in prosciutto, with olive oil roasted potatoes, courgettes and carrots sprinkled with mixed herbs, and some boiled broccoli and asparagus. It was delicious.

daisychainagain · 07/06/2017 19:56

I am a tit.
The spatchcock chicken was supposed to have 3 TEASPOONS of coffee not 3 TABLESPOONS.
No wonder it was disgusting. 😂

IHaveBrilloHair · 07/06/2017 19:58

Slow cooked chicken, green salad and crusty bread.

MrsJamesMathews · 07/06/2017 20:02

Pear, goats cheese and fennel tart with a beetroot salad and rocket. Yum yum

Lynnm63 · 07/06/2017 23:47

@sealsong
BBQ sauce
3tblsp tomato ketchup
3tblsp soy sauce
4tblsp white wine vinager
4tblsp orange juice
Clove garlic crushed or tsp lazy garlic
1/2 tsp mustard powder or mustard if you've no powder
Tsp paprika
I/2 tsp chilli powder or hot sauce

You can make it in bulk as long as you follow the 3 to 4 ratio.

Mix together. I grill until brown the spare ribs pour the sauce over and cook in the oven for 40 mins or so until the ribs are tender and the sauce reduced. The marinade keeps for a week or two in the fridge once made nice with chicken drumsticks or sausages too.

SealSong · 08/06/2017 10:29

Ooh thanks Lynn. I have most of those ingredients in, sounds delish.

mintmagnummm · 08/06/2017 11:39

Pinkheart5919 · 08/06/2017 11:42
