Nicked from Mr Carluccio:

Can be done without the spinach balls and very nice with some toasted pine nuts on top 😍

Blueberry234 · 25/07/2016 19:44

Cook spaghetti
Heat prawns in garlic oil
Throw over cooked spaghetti with some spinach to wilt
Parmesan

teacherwith2kids · 25/07/2016 19:45

Put pasta on. Pan fry broccoli florets, onion, mushrooms, some yellow pepper. Add black pepper. Dollop in some Greek yoghurt, cream or creme fraiche and some crumbled blue cheese and heat gently without boiling. Serve.

SlinkyVagabond · 25/07/2016 19:47

Pasta
Cream
Chunky smoked salmon
Little bits of broccoli or asparagus, squeeze of lemon.

Dds latest discivery is those lurpak infusions, pink peppercorn one and chorizo chunks.

Speedy Spaghetti is Better with Feta

Whilst spaghetti is cooking grate a couple of courgettes and a block of feta. Finely chop a load of herbs (mint, parsley, basil, etc). Throw everything into the hot, drained spaghetti with lemon juice, s&p and a glug of olive oil.

Summer on a plate.

This goes down well here and is nice cold too.

RavioliOnToast · 25/07/2016 19:52

Ooh I just made one.

Pasta obviously
Felafel
Red onion
Mixed veg (I use the frozen stuff)
Chopped tomatoes
Garlic
Smoked paprika
Worcestershire sauce
Tomato purée

Boil pasta
Cook felafel in oven
Brown red onion, add garlic, tomato purée and tomatoes.
Stick a load of veg in
Add felafel
Mix with pasta
Voila!

It was lush

RavioliOnToast · 25/07/2016 19:53

Oh, add paprika and Worcestershire sauce before adding veg. I'm trying to remember what I did as I was winging it Grin

CatNip2 · 25/07/2016 19:54

Sacla truffle pesto, spaghetti tossing a knob of butter with the pesto and grated Parmesan. To die for.

This is good too

historyismything · 25/07/2016 19:58

Fry bacon lardons on olive oil, add chicken pieces, pour on a carton of chopped tomatoes with garlic and onion to be quick (lazy). Tip in the boiled pasta and stir; I usually take my children's out not then add some pepperoni for me and hubs to finish it off!

This one might have to make classics!

Just made cacio e pepe in our minimally equipped holiday apartment. So very very good. Please try it! 10 minutes from boiling water to plate.

PurpleAlerts · 26/07/2016 18:18

Thanks! Lots of great ideas here!

Fry Smoked Bacon and White onions (chopped into big chunks). Boil pasta, mix it all together with Creme Fraiche and rocket leaves. Can also be done with Philadelphia or Chopped Tomatoes instead of Creme Fraiche.

Allalonenow · 26/07/2016 18:43

Very quick & easy.
Cook pasta, drain.
Stir through a small tub of crab pâté, a spoon or two of cream, or fromage fraise, or a little cream cheese, a splosh of white wine, garnish with cooked prawns if you have some.

GandolfBold · 26/07/2016 20:01

Marking place as some of theses sound amazing.

SoloD · 26/07/2016 20:08

Olive oil in a pan medium heat
Hot of biloing water, with dried pasta
Gently fly a couple of cloves of garlic and some finily chopped red chilli (around 1/2 one is fine)
Add in Prawns, cook till pink
Add in passatta, cook for 2-3 mins
mix with pasta

Job done, 5 minutes and you look the (Italian) domestic goddess.

Yambabe · 26/07/2016 20:13

Cheats macaroni cheese. Cook and drain macaroni. Put a knob of butter in the pan, add a big blob of crème fraiche and a couple of handfuls of strong grated cheddar. Stir on a low heat til the cheese has melted, add pasta back in and stir til coated, season to taste.

If you've got an extra 10-15 mins put it in a shallow ovenproof dish and top with extra grated cheddar and slices of mozzarella, grill til the cheese bubbles.

Yambabe · 26/07/2016 20:17

Cheat's lasagne too. Make or buy a meat sauce (if making keep it simple, chopped onion, garlic, lean mince, stock cube, chopped tomatoes or passata, splash of red wine, simmer til done).

Layer meat sauce, lasagne sheet, marscapone, lasagne sheet, meat sauce, lasagne sheet, marscapone, lasagne sheet, top with grated cheese of choice (any or all of cheddar, mozarella, parmesan in this house usually!) and stick in the oven.

leadrightfoot · 26/07/2016 20:18

Put pasta on to boil
Open wine and pour a glass

Take frozen garlic cube or two or three out and stick in frying pan with glug of olive oil and chopped chilli or three
Slosh a bit of wine in pan off heat
Add cooked pasta and littl more oil

Add more wine to glass

Chuck some cheese on top if you feel like it

Consume
