Explanation of feeling totally crappy explained with arrival of period 4 days early. So much for no period with Mirena, although GP did tell me it can take 6 months to settle. So I'll give it a few more months.

I just made another lemon drizzle cake if anyone wants any. I'm forever making it for other people but never get to have some myself so I thought sod it, I'll make one for me!

I was very brave and did the big food shop today. Big mistake, 45 mins in the checkout queue.

We have potty training progress, for the last 3 nights in a row ds has done a poo on the potty before bed! Tis a breakthrough. I hope he has turned the corner.

Lily is great, had a rough first night home but that was mainly down to me, our hospital gives all section patients an electric bed so I had the sides up and built a nest so I could dose whilst I fed her, last night I couldn't get comfy at all and was hurting so it made her feeding seem like it was taking forever, tonight I'm staying downstairs, we have massive sofas, and she's just had a reeeally long feed so she's in the pram and I'm laying down but have built a sitty up nest for if she wants to feed for ages. Dp is down here too despite me saying he can go up if he wants.

Also got very emotional as I adore her so pleased she's here but I'm mourning the pregnancy in a way as I know Lily is my last baby, the surgeon said my womb was dangerously thin and had I gone into labour we would have been in serious trouble, any further babys would need delivering at 36ish weeks which I couldn't do, also fecking hell I hurt don't fancy this again!

I've backed away from the bounty thread I'm too tired and baby brain to deal with a proper debate atm.

shaky hope dp is behaving, mine spent hefty spell on the super twat bench this morning, I'm hoping it was tiredness to blame.

I was awake at 530 for no reason except my brain hates me. Off to pick up the turkey and gammon and some bobs and bits today and then settling in for the holiday. Had a lovely time last night taking LT down to see the Christmas Lights at City Hall and then out to dinner.

Much better night last night, well from what I remember of the newborn days of the big two, she went in the pram a few times, for 2 1/2hrs at one point, lost track of time after that. Although she's made up for it as she's only just settled after waking at 6.30am. Spoke to soon, bloody ds shouting his mouth off upstairs... I swear one day I will tape that boys mouth shut!

if this works this pictures this years christmas card, its made me a tad emotional, i actually got this pic by accident in between them posing, so it seems more special, even more so as ds and dd1 have been a touch challenging.

they were lovely to me when i had ds and dd too dreamy, so it really took me by suprise, i never expected such a response i just was upset and alone so told mumsnet to make myself feel better, ha!
