Happy birthday Shaky!

What's DH been up to, Bonkey?

Well dps mood dramatically improved on the way home, it was an amusing journey, Mil gave us her nearly 6ft freezer so it was down the middle of the car (we have a multipla before people wonder how) but not seeing each other made dp talk more and basically his family are stressing him out and seeing his Grandad so ill shocked him, 2hrs later we were talked out and back to normal

My appointment is 9.40am, to get there on time we'd have to leave pretty early so its bloody good job I realised as we were all very relieved to be in our own beds I slept the best I have in weeks!

Were at my Mums for the day, halloween activitys and off trick or treating at all her friends houses this evening, she's lived the same place for 20 years so I don't mind taking the dcs round here. They are all rather excited.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHAKY

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams · 31/10/2012 17:35

That's good, State. Let us know how the appointment goes.

Looks brilliant empress what's everyone dressing up as then? shakys looking mighty fine in her witch costume.

well I am shattered, the dcs had a brilliant evening though, the amount of treats they got is ridiculous seeing as its just people my Mum knows we visit.

We did have a giggle though a little old lady who's lived near Mum for years and always says hello. called us over as we wandered to give all of them a few sweets and a 'jesus love you' sticker, now I have my own beliefs and the dc are christened and we attend easter/christmas services but I'm no regular church goer --to fecking lazy on sundays, but my ds did me proud had me in hysterics-- and burst into a corus of, "I am the way the truth and the light" finishing with a finger pointed to dd and saying "she knows good jesus songs an all" made this ladys day, who told him about the sunday school she helps run, he then replied, "well I go to god school don't I mum, no not god, what's the right word, Bishops that's it" I darent say he's only in a cofe school because I don't have to walk so far! Each to there own n'all that. My mum and dp who aren't so umm interested in any faiths were holding themselves laughing. We carried on with ds dressed as a zombie pirate singing his 'jesus song'. Ah my kids are great.

Thank you everyone for my birthday wishes, I don't feel or look a day over 50.

I've had a lovely day and been very spoilt, lots of lovely presents and cards.

We have had a Halloween party at my mums, me dressed as a witch and ds as Spider-Man. My sister and 3 lovely children were there too.

DP and I had some time together while ds was a nursery this morning. He bought me some lovely diamond earrings and necklace, flowers and chocolates.

We are now home and ds is fast asleep (he had a fab afternoon and is knackered). I'm on the sofa wearing my orange wig, witch's hat, black dress and orange and black stripy tights and sipping champagne!

Evenin' all.

Sorry, been a rubbish Puddle Humper and have been away so long I don't think I can catch up with everything that's been going on.

I hope you are all well.

I made a Gingerbread-man shaped sponge cake, it went terribly wrong. I was going to throw it away and then decided (as I went to put away the pink food colouring, used for fairy cakes) that it could be put to better use....mwahahahahaaaa!

Fancy a piece? Is actually very tasty Grin

BrianCoxIsEatingBrains · 31/10/2012 20:28

Happy birthday Shaky!

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams · 31/10/2012 20:28

[hgrin]
Your DS sounds terrific, State. DD went out with her mates and one of their mums. She came back with a bagful but wondering why there were so many CSOS around, so I then explained about egging etc and she was Shock. Nice to know it's so completely off her radar.

Do you like my vampire costume?

Well hello Brian we missed you! I'm so glad you could come to the party

Yummy gingerbread cake, thanks!

Evening all, too tired to type, will catch up tomorrow!

Oh and Brian that cake is ace! Grin

BrianCoxIsEatingBrains · 31/10/2012 20:44

I'm good thanks, been a bit of a hectic couple of weeks, not been feeling great (cold, gone to my chest AGAIN so asthma playing up, another trip to Dr called for) and then DD got a tummy bug so that was 2 days of fun!

I really am rubbish at this quiche business - I promise to pop in though as and when I can Smile

I have actual beer in hand (just one bottle...and a one off!)

I ache. Have spent all day getting ready for the party, entertained 8, 8 year old girls, my 3 yo and 5 mo godsons (and their mum), traipsed around in the rain for an hour trick or treating, then let them lose on the karaoke machine. THEN had to tidy up - what was I thinking!?

I am knackered, but I do love Halloween so I won't moan - it was fun.

Just about to sit down to an ep or 2 of Grey's Anatomy (have just discovered it, on series 2 currently).

BrianCoxIsEatingBrains · 31/10/2012 20:45

Thanks Bonkey Grin

Tee2072 · 31/10/2012 20:46

Happy birthday Shaky!!

Shaky · 31/10/2012 20:53

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams · 31/10/2012 20:55

brian that cakes awesome!

Glad your enjoying your day shaky

I am a bumpkin, half baby bump half pumpkin

I've never been to ikea Envy I really want to.

Tee2072 · 31/10/2012 20:57

It's like a different planet, State. A planet of perfectly designed rooms.

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams · 31/10/2012 21:02

Not rooms, though. Solutions. Sleeping solutions and eating solutions and so on. You lose all sense of time in there very very quickly. In the local one there are often people sprawled on the beds and sofas who look like they've been there for ages.

Kea is like the twighlight zone, it's unreal.

I haven't been there since I tried to kit out a whole house in one trip, it was a nightmare, never again! I did move to the bestest, wonkiest cottage EVER though. We called it wonky cottage for the whole time I lived there [hgrin]

Shaky · 31/10/2012 21:15

*Ikea
What's in this punch *State? It's making go wonky?
