With thanks to SPSFanjo for handing it over.

Everyone's invited to our Puddlewarming party!!!!!!!!!!

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams · 30/10/2012 00:44

Well, we had a chat & we're thinking it might be simpler just to renew our lease in here so we don't have to clean out the mess left in the other place after the last party don't have to move the hot tub. Would that be ok?

You saw the damp patches at Shakys place didn't you? I told her you would notice Grin

I guess I don't mind you staying put. Been a ThreadLord is only for the responsible and mature so makes sense you would want me Grin

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams · 30/10/2012 00:51

Great Grin

Have a gingerbread man. I'm afraid we don't have any prostitutes.

OP posts:
DZoH · 30/10/2012 00:58

But what about some gender equality with a gingerbread woman ??

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams · 30/10/2012 00:59

Fine with me, DZoH [hgrin].

Morning all

My dp went to see his Grandad last night (the one who's ill) and came back in the vilest mood, barely said two words to me, huffed off to bed and is just as snotty this morning. Sometimes that blokes a twat. He's sulked off out to walk the --annoying yappy bastards dogs and dcs so hopefully will come back in a better mood or ill find a cliff to push him off--

I'm going home tonight and I have my 32wk scan tomorrow, I'm really hoping to get a nice sonographer who may check to see what this baby is, I need to know!

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams · 30/10/2012 10:51

We need to know too!

Sorry about your DH, I hope the walk clears his head a bit.

OP posts:
StateofConfusion · 30/10/2012 11:19

Nope he's still a twat.

ScreamyShriekyFrightyWoozyWooo · 30/10/2012 11:31

Morning! Hope everyone and their Dc's are feeling better. My Ds1 has a nasty cough and is starting to get snotty too. :(

State, my Dh is annoying me too. He took this week off so we could have a lovely week together and do nice things with the Dc's, but he's been in a foul mood so far. He keeps saying he's going to the toilet, then doesn't come back downstairs for 3 hours cos he's playing on his computer game in our bedroom. So much for spending time together. [hhmm] He's really short tempered with Ds1, who's doing nothing wrong, just being a typical 3 yr old, but it's like Dh can't stand to be around him. :(

I really need his support this week too, because we're going to visit my auntie on Thursday. She is the most lovely, wonderful lady, and unfortunately has weeks to live. :( We're going to visit her in the hospice, and introduce her to Ds2. I'm dreading it. Fucking bastard cancer.

I can't stop crying at the moment. :(

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks · 30/10/2012 12:04

Oh Screamy :(

Does your dh spend much time with the dc's usually or does he work alot etc? My dh finds it hard to spend hours on end with ds without getting to stressed! Can you all go for a walk? Leaf kicking? Things that don't require anyone to think about doing anything iyswim!

Re. the computer games, chuck the bloody thing out the window! I hate ours, wish we had never bought it! Dh only plays it now when I go to bed early. Because he knows its not worth my temper Wink .

Sorry about your Auntie! :( Just think about how much she will love seeing your dc's and try not to think about the bad side.

We are all here if you need us, good luck for today! :)

ScreamyShriekyFrightyWoozyWooo · 30/10/2012 13:17

I think that's it, Bonkey. He works a lot, so it's a bit overwhelming for him being around a boisterous child and young baby. I'm used to the noise and chaos, but he really can't cope with it. He stresses me out though, because he gets so wound up and he's only been around us for a short time - Ds1 idolises him and gets really upset when he shouts. Dh just seems so negative about him, he rarely sits and plays with him, or says anything positive. It makes me really sad for Ds, because he's just trying to get his dad's attention. He's a lovely, caring man really, I think he's just tired and not coping very well. But at least he can get a decent night's sleep - I'm the one up feeding the baby in the night! I'm bloody knackered but I can still keep my temper most of the time. He choses to go out in the evening and not come to bed til 1am! [hangry]

It's been so sudden with my auntie. One day she was fine, the next she has weeks to live. It's such a shock. :(

I'd really appreciate any advice on what to say to her, my uncle and teenage cousins when we visit. It sounds pathetic but I'm utterly useless at knowing what is the right thing to say, and I don't want to upset them by saying the wrong thing. Should I act like everything is normal? I've made a basket of nice treats for them all, and I'd love to offer to help with some housework/cooking etc but they live 3 hours away. I've never been in this situation before so I don't know what they'd find most helpful/comforting.

ZombTEE · 30/10/2012 13:33

Hi gang

Sounds like we could all use some Wine and chocolate. ::sets up side board with all treats imaginable::

Spent the morning at the museum with a small boy and I'm exhausted. Bring on school again, please!

Looks like the East Coast got off relatively lightly, all things considered, and my mom will be arriving Saturday as planned.

I don't know if any of you know who FrankensteinWippery, the MNetter, is but she posted yesterday that she has cancer. She and I are RL friends but she lives in England and I hate that I can't just pop over to her house and help.

Sometimes I hate being on this fucking Irish island away from the rest of you lot.

[grumpy and cold emoticon]

ScreamyShriekyFrightyWoozyWooo · 30/10/2012 14:15

Yes, I saw that Tee. :( I don't know her, but I 'know' the name from the boards. Awful news.

Glad your Mum will be able to fly. It looks awful over there, very scary.

Shaky · 30/10/2012 16:15

I saw that too Tee, I'm sorry Sad

Shaky · 30/10/2012 17:08

Screamy I'm sorry about your aunty, that's very sad.

Good luck with your scan tomorrow State

I definately think we should renew our lease here. I have just discovered I have SQUATTERS in my topic [shocked] MNHQ are there having a pumpkin competition!!!! [shocked]

And besides I'm definately not mature or responsible enough to be a threadlord!
Grin

Shaky · 30/10/2012 17:10

Emoticon fail Shock Shock

StateofConfusion · 30/10/2012 18:34

Well I'm a twat, scans thursday, not tomorrow. I was looking forward to that!

Dp is sulking again as he said well we can stay at mils another night, never mind the fact that I need my bed and we have plans with my family tomorrow!

Shaky · 30/10/2012 19:53

Aw State at least you realised today and didn't turn up at the hospital on the wrong day. I didn't turn up on the wrong day for ds to have his first jabs, honest!
