I was in a village in Derbyshire - even spag bol was exotic in those days!

KittyFoyle · 28/10/2010 22:48

I have eaten everything.

pintyblud · 28/10/2010 22:51

eel. I was talking about this today.

AgentProvocateur · 28/10/2010 22:57

Meat paste or toast toppers. Didn't even know TT existed till a colleague was talking about it this week. Avoid that whole aisle in the supermarket.

pintyblud · 28/10/2010 22:59

I loved toast toppers as a kid when they first came out. Couldn't stomach it now though.

I have never eaten a pop tart.

BelligerentGhoul · 28/10/2010 23:00

I have never even heard of a pop tart.

pintyblud · 28/10/2010 23:02

How did all that crazy advertising in the 80s (?) pass you by, ghoul?

I think the thought of putting jam at boiling point into my mouth put me off.

NormalityBites · 28/10/2010 23:07

Branston pickle

Piccalilli

Gherkins

Tomato Ketchup

Powdered soup

I was probably too busy listening to The Smiths or writing bad poetry. Grin

I have never eaten anything from Burger King or KFC either but I must admit to the occasional McD's milkshake.

Ghoulfriend · 28/10/2010 23:09

kangeroo testicles

moondog · 28/10/2010 23:10

Toast toppers.
Could there be a less savoury prospect?

Vomit in a jar.

pintyblud · 28/10/2010 23:10

Some of us were able to listen to teh smiths and watch pop tarts ads with a certain interest

aseriouslyblondemoment · 28/10/2010 23:13

BelligerentGhoul · 28/10/2010 23:17

You must be better at multi-tasking than I am, Pointy.

BelligerentGhoul · 28/10/2010 23:17
Wink
happybubblebrain · 28/10/2010 23:26

I haven't eaten meat or fish since I was 12 so I haven't eaten lots of things like oysters, crab, venison etc.

I've never had an Innocent Smoothie but I think I've tried every chocolate bar.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 28/10/2010 23:35

What the hell is a toast topper, or a tinned pie? Confused

In addition to the above which I have never even heard of, I have never eaten

Sandwich spread
Pot noodle/supernoodles
Most shellfish (am allergic to all the bits I have tried)
Sushi
Kangaroo

Whoever said polenta is nice is wrong - it is vile stuff and tastes of nothing [hgrin]

NormalityBites · 28/10/2010 23:44

Toast toppers are some kind of Heinz mush in cheese and meat flavours, they come in tins and you put them on toast and grill for a vomit-tastic experience.

I confess I've never had one.

Tinned pie - never heard of Fray Bentos?

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 28/10/2010 23:48

Gah that sounds disgusting! What is wrong with real cheese?

I have heard the name Fray Bentos, but I didn't know who/what it was.

MoonFaceMamaaaaargh · 29/10/2010 09:58

Fray bentos is the pie master (at least according to some friends at uni who had a weekly tin pie night. There was even a special tray reserved for catching the drippage!)

There is nothing wrong with real cheese Ali, nothing ...and it is the key to tastey poenta! [hwink]

I've never had a pop tart either. Or a toast topper...wtf? [hshock]
