Any guesses as to what/who will be nominated for an Oscar?

One of my favourite things to do is to see all the films then stay up
to watch the ceremony. Last year I never seemed to be out of the cinema. This year due to illness I couldn’t. I’m wracking my brain to think what film has had people talking about it. Have you seen anything that has been excellent?

Almost everything nominated in the above the line categories can be streamed apart from The Secret Agent and If I Had Legs I’d Kick You.

I still haven’t seen OBAA. It’s being re-released at cinemas next week - is it the type of film that’s better seen on the big screen?

I am going/have been to cinema for Hamnet sentimental value Marty and secret agent.
first 3 I can probably rent for £16 now. But cinema is £7.50 Mondays so cheaper than renting.
Bugonia and one battle rented for £5, f1 on Apple, train dream’s and Frankenstein on Netflix then
sinners is on sky cinema (£10 1 month via now tv)

Yes - it was shot in Vistavision so the bigger the screen, the better.

I didn't manage to make it to a Vistavision screening, but I've seen it in IMAX twice and 70mm once as well as watching it at home and whilst it's fine on TV as a rewatch, the difference is night and day.

Would love Timothy Chamalée to win for Marty Supreme. What a film!

All 10 best pictures seen!

favourir probably Bugonia but also enjoyed sinners and one battle. Fell asleep during Frankenstein and sentimental values.
f1 would have been better if I like formula one. Hamnet was average as was Marty. Train dreams was sloooooow and secret agent was slow and made no sense.

I also watched K-pop demon hunters and that was ace so hopefully that wins best animated film.
